Much More Work To Be Done‏

Now that the 40 year reign of terror has apparently ended with the death of the despotic Libyan leader, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, and the hope of the world is for a fair and democratically led free Libya for these long suffering people, one can only dream that such a fate is soon visited on another well known leader of death,..... Sir Robert Mugabe. That the long suffering people of Zimbabwe will soon be able to overthrow this megalomaniac and return their country to what was long considered the "breadbasket of Africa".

Hopefully the likes of the United Nations to the Royal Family of Great Britain and even our disgraced former Prime Minister, Malcolm Fraser, will think twice before ever endorsing such evil again and referring to these tyrants as statesmen?

Godspeed and let's all remember (in prayer if you like) the many thousands of freedom loving Libyans and Zimbabweans who have made and continue to make the ultimate sacrifice for freedom, democracy and justice in their lands and never take for granted what we have inherited here.

OFF WITH HIS DEMOCRATIC HEAD

The most ludicrous thing (apart from the attack on free speech) about this very wrong judgement against Andrew Bolt was that Bolt was never talking about racism nor was he promoting it in the first place. See here

The fact is that he was promoting the opposite of racism, "UNITY" and exposing what many Australians already are aware of and that is the fact that people who do not deserve to call themselves Aboriginal are doing so even though they are several generations removed from the Original Australian Aboriginal DNA line.

That is like me claiming Scottish or Irish or Welsh or German or French or English entitlement just because there is a mix of all these ethnic origins circulating in my bloodstream. I mean, I claim to be an Australian as this is where I was born and hold my loyalty too.

My mother cannot help but claim her English heritage as she was born there but she can also legally say that she is an Australian because she was naturalised after she choose to emigrate here ... but if my great grandmother had sexual relations with an Aboriginal Australian and a child came of that union and that child turned out to become my grandfather then Australian law says I can claim Aboriginality and all of the social welfare schemes attached to that claim as much as a true Aboriginal who was born here or parents were born here and the blood line of their family is purely Aboriginal ....WHAT THE?

What a deluded mess this has become and clearly many who do not deserve the tax payer funded breaks that they claim are simply ripping us ALL off. As Bolt said in front of the court after the verdict was announced "We should be focusing on the things that UNITE us and not those that divide".

Well Andrew, we need that message to go back in time to at least several decades of political stooges form both major parties who used this form of apartheid (separating the internal population based on racial difference) as nothing more than a vote generator.

See how they have created a nation within a nation, with it's own laws, racial based freedoms and benefits and even a flag. How is that promoting a united nation.... What does the song say? ..."WE ARE ONE BUT WE ARE MANY...." Sure we are many but thanks to the abuse of welfare and the creation of the "ABORIGINAL INDUSTRY" we are and will never be one. Mr Abbott TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!!!...... with apologies to the late Ronald Reagan.

Incidentally, my brother is married to an Aboriginal woman thus my niece's are both eligible to the claim..... they don't do it, they work hard and claim nothing. That is being Australian in my book.

The NON Family Courts

The toon above was first published to accompany an article in last weeks Spectator by John Hirst, The article is quite a timely and poignant piece considering current and recent events. Please remember to pick up your copy of The SPECTATOR Australia magazine, out every Friday.

The article concerns a quite disgraceful but little-heeded policy change so is reproduced below:

The Federal Labor government appears bent on making it easier for mothers in Family Court proceedings to make false accusations about fathers being violent and abusing their children.

Making such accusations are a routine part of custody battles. The Howard government made some effort to deter them; these sanctions are to be lifted in an amending Bill now before the parliament.

The declared aim of the amendments is to protect children better from abuse and violence. The Bill reaffirms that the best interests of the child must be the paramount consideration in the arrangements that follow separation of their parents. That always sounds reassuring. It is the mantra under which the Family Court operates. But when one principle, however worthy, is made pre-eminent, to be pursued whatever the consequences, terrible harm may be done.

Consider. A mother makes a false accusation of abuse against a father; she may believe it to be true or it may be concocted. Either way the father is immediately made into a pariah. After the case is examined, the Court may decide that the father cannot see his children, not because it has been proved beyond reasonable doubt that he has abused his children, not because on the balance of probabilities he has abused his children, but because in the mind of a judge he presents an unacceptable risk to his children. Well, you might think, with children you can’t be too careful. But consider what this carefulness is doing. Innocent fathers are branded as child abusers by an instrument of the state, a body going under the name of a court of law, which then rules that they are not to see their children again. Just how many fathers will you torture in this way to protect one child?

The Family Court was pushed into operating on ‘unacceptable risk’ by the High Court in the case M v M. The consequence is that the Court seeks absolute security for the children in its purview. Meanwhile in the administration of child welfare by the states great risks are run because the policy here is to keep children in the care of parents if at all possible. I think too many risks are run. Children are reported as being at risk, social workers examine the case, they give advice and warnings to the parents, and leave the children in their care. All too frequently the parents do not improve; they remain alcoholics or drug addicts and their children die from abuse or neglect. In New South Wales in the years 2008-2009, 57 children died from abuse or neglect. Of these 30 were known to be at risk by Community Services, which had left them with their parents.

Everyone wants the child welfare system to be better. But no-one says that no risks should be taken. If the Family Law practice were followed in child protection, on the first report of abuse, children would be removed from their parents. One reason why children are not more readily removed is that the cost of maintaining them then falls on the government through payments to foster parents or the support of institutions which care for them. These considerations do not operate in Family Law cases. If the Court rules that a father can no longer see his children, he is still required by the Child Support Agency to make payments to support them.

The Family Court should not deny a parent access to a child unless they can be shown to be a danger to the child. The ‘unacceptable risk’ policy should be over-ruled and so free the Court from perpetrating gross injustices. Fathers are citizens who should not be deprived of their children without a case being proved against them. But even on the test of the best interests of the child, consider what damage the Court is doing to the children of the innocent fathers: they are deprived of a father and later they will find out that this was because of the falsehood of their mother.

The amendments made to the Family Law Act by the Howard government did not go as far as I am proposing here. They aimed to reduce the evil by providing that a parent knowingly making false accusations would have to bear the costs of the other party and a parent who made false accusations could be declared to be an ‘unfriendly parent’ in the matter of determining custody, where the aim is to keep both parents in a relationship with their children. Both these provisions are now to be removed because it is claimed they inhibit women from revealing violence.

The government’s rationale for the change about costs reads:

‘Vulnerable parents may choose to not raise legitimate safety concerns for themselves and their children due to a fear they will be subject to a costs order if they cannot substantiate the claims.’

So in this court allegations without evidence are to be encouraged!

Under the proposed amendments, the Court is also to abandon proceeding by evidence in determining whether family violence has occurred between the mother and father. If one party declares that the behaviour of the other caused them to be fearful, then violence has occurred.

The government’s Bill has been examined by a committee of the Senate. Its Coalition members have recommended that the changes discussed here be not made. But the Greens are happy with them so unless the government has a change of heart, they will pass into law.

Whatever the intent of its promoters, one sure effect of the Bill is that more false allegations will be made and with greater chance of success. More children will be needlessly deprived of contact with their fathers.

Growing Old Disgracefully

If like me, you are a political tragic and are addicted to the weekly Monday night ABC Colosseum like show, Q and A, where Conservatives are thrown to the Leftist Lions in what is nothing more than a bloodsport, applauded by the majority left audience (do not believe the opening audience stats) AND If you are like me and you are of the more conservative mindset, then you probably felt like you had just walked into a sleazy bar and there you saw your favourite school teacher stripping to "You can leave your hat on"!!!

You see, Noni Hazlehurst, Australian actor (I loved her in her role as Nancy Wake in the 1987 film, The White Mouse) and probably best remembered as the lovable, caring presenter of the long running children's TV show, Play School, from 1978 to 2001, was rightfully lauded and questioned for her role in a less than ethical book reading satirical piece called "Go the f@#K to sleep". If you don't know what I am talking about then just watch this.

To think that she unshamadly did this, the same woman that we entrusted to entertain, inform and let's face it, babysit our kids for many years, is in my opinion and slap in face and a betrayal of trust. When asked about her role in this controversial piece, she basically deferred the whole thing as harmless fun that actually helps adults deal with the drama of getting small children to sleep and then she defaulted to the fact that the real lowering of standards are all about us, on billboards and bus shelter everywhere. I agree that the way women in particular are betrayed in such advertising is sending the wrong messages but what kind of message does this attempt at humour send?

When my former wife and I had our first child, we sought ans received advice on the issue of getting the baby to sleep from family, friends, books on the subject and even the Tresillion Nurses Organisation BUT if someone had handed us this book, then I would have handed it back with the comment "How the hell does a book about swearing at and even threatening a child who won't go to sleep help us at this time of need?"

What is it with the left and their brand of humour? They get greatly offended when Alan Jones calls PM Julia Gillard, JULIAR and say that people on the right are disrespecting the office of the Prime Minister by referring to her as just Julia or Gillard and then go on to say that it's only because she is a woman that she is being disrespected and yet they hypocritically have no issue with referring to former PM, John Howard, as "Little Lying Johnny" or leftist cartoonists drawing the foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, in a pair of fish net stocking and comedians constantly ridiculing the current Federal opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, about the fact that he wears speedos because he just happens to want to swim or run on the beach in them. For heaven's sakes, they are politicians and are open to such lampooning but just don't critique our politicians, that right Noni!?!

Seems to me that the hypocrisy of the left has no bounds and there is no measure or line of decency when it does come to satire. This book and the reading of it by Noni Hazlehurst, actually did offend me and as a father and hopefully grandfather, I see this as nothing more than either a desperate act by a left over, left out lefty such as Hazlehurst (probably pissed off because they used Michael I'll sell my soul for money" Caton and Cate Blank-Cheque, instead of her to push the Carbon Tax scam) or just another wink and nod at the anti family movement that we know these Marxist loving "Useful Idiots" so openly mock at their Northern Beaches Cocktail parties!

Where's the outrage? The left-wing critics who fretted and wailed over Howard's policies have lost their voice

TIM BLAIR:

It ought be nearly impossible to move through the streets of any Australian capital at the moment, what with them all jammed to the shopfronts by furious leftist protesters. Anyone in charge of a large-scale papier mache operation – no leftist protest is complete without a big giant puppet head – might expect to be running triple shifts.

After all, we’re presently overrun with the sort of issues that previously drove the left into a frenzy of indignant street chanting. The federal government has just signed a deal to send asylum seekers to Malaysia, a nation that is not a signatory to the United Nations’ refugee convention. The government’s planet-rescuing carbon tax excludes agriculture and petrol, which renders it a token measure capable only of damaging the local economy while doing nothing about alleged global warming. The government is cosying up to Big Coal, promising that this demonized industry has a viable future.

And, by the way, we still have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Labor Prime Minister is such a fan of the US that she almost cries just talking about it. Yet the protests that were so much a part of John Howard’s reign as Prime Minister are barely visible under the reign of Julia Gillard (who, despite being the second individual to sack a Labor Prime Minister since Sir John Kerr ousted Gough Whitlam in 1975, never suffered even a fraction of Kerr’s vilification).

It’s almost as though those street-stomping activists of the Howard era were more motivated by a loathing of the former Liberal PM than they were over any matters of principle. Consider, for only a second, how the bearded-and-shouty wing of Australia’s left would have responded if it had been former Liberal immigration minister Philip Ruddock instead of Labor’s Chris Bowen announcing a human being swap with Malaysia.

Just a guess, but it might have seen a larger number than the 200 or so holdouts who staged a mini-protest in Sydney last weekend. “We're here to say no to the Malaysia solution," longtime refugee
advocate Ian Rintoul said to basically nobody. He was slightly more aggressive during the Howard years. In 2004, Rintoul – preparing for a Kirribilli House vigil – made this vow: “We plan to lock up Howard this Easter unless he frees the innocent asylum seekers that languish in his political prisons."

There are more “innocent asylum seekers” than ever presently languishing in Gillard’s “political prisons”, but to this point the current Prime Minister remains at liberty. Don’t let down your guard, Ms Gillard. Rintoul’s Easter bunny justice brigade is merely biding its time, presumably waiting for the right moment to pounce.

To its shame, the previous Liberal-led government made all the correct soothing noises about addressing climate change, particularly as it became electorally vulnerable. None on the left were buying it, however, and probably for good reason. They might have assumed that a conservative carbon pricing policy would cynically let major carbon emitters off the hook.

Which is almost precisely what Julia Gillard’s carbon tax will do, seeing agriculture and petrol aren’t included. The former gets a free pass because the government claims it simply can’t work out a way to accurately gauge agricultural carbon dioxide emissions. (Puzzlingly, the same government is endlessly trusting of emissions figures supplied by the dodgy likes of China. Perhaps Labor should invite Beijing’s best bovine carbon calculators out to Australia for a conclusive cow count.)

Petrol is cut from carbon tax considerations because the government prefers to keep its approval ratings above single figures. There’s no other possible explanation. Besides being a Mr Big of carbon output, petrol consumption is accurately measured every day by millions of individuals at petrol pumps. The whole deal is primed, as it were, for a carbon tax.

Again, ponder the likely response of local sandal-and-Crikey enthusiasts if the previous Coalition government had proposed such a scheme. The oil company conspiracy theories would be screaming across the internet like so many YouTube cat videos, and workers at Shell and BP headquarters would have to gain access to their blockaded offices via teleporting.

But thus far the only significant protests – at least numerically – from the left regarding the carbon tax are in favour of it, petrol exclusion and all. These smotheringly pious gatherings are led by GetUp!, an unexpectedly elderly activist group whose members, according to GetUp! leader Simon Sheikh, have an average age of 55. When the more senior members GetUp, it’s usually with the electronic assistance of a Smokey Dawson chair.

So they’ll protest for a carbon tax – when you think about it, it’s more an affirmation than a protest – but GetUp! bravely decided to StandDown! over the Malaysian solution. Sheikh’s explanation for this in June was interesting. Essentially, he didn’t want GetUp! to inadvertently promote the Malaysian plan by looking like a bunch of idiots who opposed it. “The government would love to see groups like us marching against this plan because that's their strategy,” he told The Australian. “They would think it would shore them up as the conservative force they would hope to be on this issue.”

Like most other Howard-era agitators, then, GetUp! is now an inactivist movement. Staying at home and doing nothing is an official tactic, which doesn’t exactly bode well for the financial future of these groups; why pay for membership (if, indeed, membership requires payment) when the big protest march of the day is from your front door to the letterbox to see if the latest issue of Caravan & Motorhome has arrived?

Still, leftist rage must always find a target. If it isn’t the treatment of claimed refugees or a carbon tax that absolves Big Oil, it’ll be something more convenient and less likely to offend the untouchable Gillard government. A few weeks ago, 18 demonstrators were arrested in Melbourne following a protest against the Max Brenner store chain. The previous month, two demonstrators were charged after a raucous protest outside a Max Brenner shop in Sydney.

The Brenner chain sells chocolate. It happens to be owned by an Israeli company, hence the outrage. That’s where the heat is protest-wise in 2011. The left is angry about Jewish sweets.

Sunday, Carbon Sunday

PM Gillard announces the details of her proposed "carbon" tax

Well that's it, it's happened, Julia and Co. have finally done it..... they have made me speechless. My jaw is still on the ground and I am virtually in a state of shock. To think that this once great country and democracy of ours has elected a government that is quite willing to destroy its own industries, including mining, and lower the standards of living for its people for generations to come, all based on a scientifically unproven theory! Well it has simply sucked the air out of this room and left me speechless. As I watched and listened to the PM along with the gaggle the sycophantic followers in the media and those traitorous "Independents", I thought to myself "This must have been what it was like when Stalin or Hitler made their speeches to the masses!"

Sure, the ALP and the Greens will be removed at the next election and if Abbott is true to his word, then maybe he will be able to unscramble this poisonous egg and put it in the rubbish bin of history, where it belongs..... assuming he has the numbers of course. Until then we will all have to take a big bite of this bullsh*t sandwich called a carbon tax and put up with these strutting pious peacocks of the left.

The real warning here is that the ALP and the Greens, for different reasons, are playing the long game. They know that this will cause their defeat at the next Federal Poll but as long as the mining industry (the major financial supporter of the Coalition Party) is decimated and that they all get their United Nations kudos, then I guess that the damage to our way of life and the economy is to them just collateral damage.

Here we go again, more proof that this country is slipping into a Big Government, high taxing, big spending socialist nightmare. The Carbon tax is coming and it is probably the most unpopular policy any Australian Government has ever forced on it's people. Not even Whitlam was as bad as this mob and this PM, now that is saying something.

As dangerous as this Government is to the economy there is one aligned organisation that wishes it had that much power. Yes, the Karl Marx wannabes over at GET UP are threatening hundreds of major employers around Australia with a business destroying boycott of their goods and services by their half a million faithful activist members, if these companies support or join an anti carbon tax campaign!

Well golly gosh, I am shaking in my boots and I am sure that the CEO's and Managers of these great Aussie employers are just falling about in fear!

Seriously, who is GETUP anyway. A fringe group of Socialists and Marxists and tree huggers that get far too much media exposure and are really known only for their support of everything anti WEST, along with their usual media stunts, like this one.

Put it this way. to become a member of GETUP all you need to do is go to their website and fill in the member form and that's it.

Wow, such dedication does a member need to join this great freedom group of the people. No fees, no qualifications, no endorsements , nothing just an email address and a name (any name!) and you are a member of the activist army. ............

Well not quite. I signed up just to get what I wanted and that was a stream of rubbish emails and propaganda but occasionally the good info would stream through and this information has helped me with my work. You see folks, to beat your enemy, you must know them well. I will tell you this about GETUP, they are a bunch of toothless tigers who believe in free speech ONLY for those who agree with their leftist ideology and worldview.

Great, I am glad such group exists because that means that our democracy and liberty is working and that these extremists do not need to resort to terrorism just to make a point.......

What a shame they don't feel the same way because clearly Mafia style tactics and blackmail is what they use to try and get their agenda sorted. Worrying about the wrong anniversary‏

What is all the hoo-haa about? Julia Gillard would consider the day she took over leadership of the country and by default became Australia's first female PM as a GOOD DAY to remember. The MSM is getting just a little bit too excited about this date.

The date that should be the one that Julia Gillard truly regrets is the day that she lost her leadership, that day was the 21st of August, 2010, the Federal Election. True it took a bit more time to get to the final numbers but it was certainly the day that she made a deal with the devil and sold her soul and her leadership to the Greens Party and a handful of self deluded Independents.

Gillard, is in my opinion, reflecting in the Polls just what she actually projects and that is simply "DEPRESSION". The woman is in an arranged marriage and this loveless union has born no fruit that is worth eating. The bitter taste in Julia's mouth everyday is that she has to go back on a primary election promise to satisfy those that gave her preferences thus enabling her and her party to take power. A huge cost and in the end very little power at all.

Whether or not you favour the usual ideology of the Australian Labor Party (Socialism) is beside the point. All previous ALP PMs had agendas and followed their own reforms and ideology to make their mark in Australian political history. This poor woman cannot do that because she is being forced to follow the ideologies of the far left Greens and the pampering of some former conservative Independents. When you think of her as a woman who struggled through the "glass ceiling" and did her time in the back rooms to finally obtain the top prize in Australian politics, only to be told that you do not really own your own title and we will blackmail you out of favour with the punters if you do not do as we say, then you can actually feel very sad for her ................ well you can if you want!

Not Happy Bob‏

Well then, as we head into the predicted rapture and end of the world as we know it, you would have to be a little glad that at least Bob Brown and his mad left Greens, in conjunction with the party of "WHATEVER IT TAKES" will not be the ones to return us to the stone age and basically end our world as we know it today.

Hmmmmm, well of course the end of the world according to some zealot nutjobs is not going to happen this weekend but I am damn sure that if the Greens/ALP coalition is allowed to get away with this insidious carbon tax, that we will certainly long for the days before it and will be remember those days as "the golden age" of Western civilisation.

Did you see the "Glass Jawed" Senator Brown yesterday being questioned by journalists? Brown called yet another media conference to cry like a baby that the Murdoch Press (who he casually refers to as, the HATE PRESS) is not being fair to him and his delusional ambitions to save the world from dangerous climate change.

When the reporters asked him to actually give them something more than the usual conservative bashing rhetoric and pointed out the fact that it is not just the conservative media that is against his Carbon dioxide tax but that most media outlets were rightfully reporting and reflecting the massive disapproval of this tax within the general public, then Brown went very strange in his manner, like a creature cornered.

What was Bob Brown's reply to that? Did he give the media any figures and facts that would unquestionably support his and Gillard's claim that taxing carbon producing industry was going to change natural climate change?...... NO!, all he said was that he was HAPPY and that the reporters should be happy also and then he made another unproven claim that the membership of the Greens party was growing faster than the circulation of the Murdoch Press!?!?!?! Brown talks of a need for heat on those of the media trying to bring his argument down. The problem with Bob Brown now is that he doesn't realise that he is the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia and now that he can no longer use the media to his advantage and that the same media is starting to scrutinise him and his political party, which now has more power than ever before. The fact is that Senator Bob Brown cannot handle the heat and is resorting to that default defence of the left, attacking the man and in this case the media and the vast opposition to the Carbon tax. It is very telling about his true self as a professional politician. What I saw at that press gathering was a frightened bunny rabbit with nowhere to hide and not the leader of a fast growing political party.

Even the old fan club for the left, The ABC is now starting to ask the hard questions and you can see from this video, where Bob Brown is being interviewed by The 7:30 Report's Chris Uhlmann, that the Senator was not prepared for the scrutinising from his favourite media outlet at all.

There is one ally that Bob Brown should consider that he does have in Conservative political circles and that is the former leader of the conservative coalition, Malcolm Turnbull. Turnbull stated publicly that he believes that the Abbott climate change policy will blow out the budget. Brown said of Turnbull's comments that he believes that "Malcolm is showing a wider loyalty to the country".

Turnbull the turncoat is clearly the enemy within Abbott's cabinet and simply is too ambitious and obviously has never gotten over his defeat by Tony Abbott back in 2009. It is reported that many Liberal members want him removed from the front bench as soon as possible and I for one say hear, hear to that!

The Ostrich For Immigration

This cartoon is inspired by just one comment made by 2UE's David Oldfield and I think illustrates clearly the lack of control and vision that not only the Minister, Chris Bowen, has for our border security but the entire Federal Labor government.

You can see clearly that John Howard's Pacific Solution was the only policy needed to control the people smuggling trade and all of the evils and expenses that naturally follow the current open borders policy of the left. Just as we can see that the reversal of the policy by the Rudd Government in 2008 is the cause of all the problems we face now with regards to this issue.

What is also clear to see, is that the Pacific Solution was removed to pander to the Greens preference deal and the usual useful idiots of the left, who lobbied hard for it's removal prior to the 2007 Federal Election.

Clearly the result is now seen by the current Gillard government as a true voter issue and as hard as it has been for her to swallow her pride and accept that the policy change was an error, it seems that the PM may just have to reintroduce the Pacific Solution to lift her ever plummeting poll figures.

I can see, as most of you can, that policy and reform is not the driving force behind the Gillard governments political philosophy but rather it is all about staying in power and doing "whatever it takes" to make that so!

As a student of history, I see that this type of governance always leads to defeat and long periods in opposition so I say "keep it up Juliar"

It does seem to me also that the only one who cannot see clearly any of these issues is the Minister concerned: "The Hon. Chris Bowen". But you can't blame him for that because he is obviously happy to keep his head buried in the dirt. If he thinks that this will help him in removing Gillard as the leader and opening the spot up to himself then I would also say that he should take another look at Australian political history of the last decade and in particular the Abbott/Turnbull situation.

From stupid and moralistic pious dribble from the usual useful idiots of the left, about how Bin Laden should have been captured and convicted of a crime via trial, like the MASS MURDERER had stolen someones bike to the extreme hard headed rock apes of the far right who are calling conspiracy and hatred of the President because he won't parade the dead body of Bin Laden like a trophy cup.

STOP! ........ and think about it. If Bin Laden was alive then would the US government tells us he wasn't and that they were responsible for his demise? Of course not, because Old Osama would just pop up on a video again and make the entire administration look like fools.

What if the man was captured and put on trial? .... clearly he would be guilty before any trial, the evidence is overwhelming and Bin Laden would only use the trial to make more points and anti West propaganda. In goal he would be the excuse for hundreds of acts of terror with the demand always being " Release Osama or we will......."

If you saw his body in the flesh or even just pictures of it, the conspiracy nuts would still not be convinced because these things can be faked easily enough by any kid with Photoshop or they will say they just dressed up some homeless waif who had died in an alley.

It's logical and logic will put you out of your suffering. Believe that the most evil terrorist of our times is no longer on the planet and get on with your life. It doesn't matter how or when he died, it only matters that he is dead and can inspire no more. Although he will probably inspire many more of his twisted kind and will be held up as a hero poster boy in death as he did in life but who could have ever changed that eventuality?

I'd much rather see a photo of Muslims and Christians and Jews etc just getting on and enjoying life together, and if you think about it wouldn't you!?!

Evil has a very BAD day

Obama kills Osama. Wow you couldn't invent a better bumper sticker for this lame duck US President and although the current conspiracy theory that Barry Obama held off on the assassination of Bin Laden until his polls dropped below a certain number holds no water with me, it is true that this wonderful event will lift his personal popularity indeed.

"Mission Accomplished" certainly did that for G W Bush when Saddam Hussein was arrested but again this took many years and lives to do and I believe that either President would have gotten the job done at the very moment they could have. War casualties never help an incumbent government no matter how just the cause.

As wonderful as it is that one of the most hated figures in the history of the world has met his just end, there is no doubt that this will have no effect on the War against the Jihadist Caliphate but rather it will embolden the distorter's of Islam to avenge their spiritual leader and this will also help with recruitment to their warped cause.

The battle that the West has against any form of terrorism will simply never end. In a hundred or even five hundred years there will still be terrorist's bent on destroying freedom and democracy wherever it exists.

From religious fanatics to bent government ideologies such as Communism, the fight for true freedom and democracy is never ending and the price to pay is constant vigilance.

The dangerous Leftist Media

Well the obvious result has occurred and yes I could have drawn a cartoon with all the usual cliches in it but the fact remains that the NSW ALP should have been dispatched several elections ago and why they were not is a matter of further debate. But certainly one of the main strong arms that have kept them in power for so long is the incredibly powerful influence and growing arrogance that is the "progressive" and dominant leftist media in this country.

The battle lines have been drawn and we are entering a new phase of the culture wars that I never thought I would see in this country. Sure the war between the conservative right and the socialist left has and will always be present in any free thinking liberal democracy, and that's actually healthy, but now even those who have claimed for decades to be objective and open to both sides of the argument, even though we knew they leant to one side of the political fence, have now shown their rusted-on alliance to one side and are making no bones about it anymore.

The more I witness the pugnacious attitude of the likes of Insiders host, Barry Cassidy, as he and his selected two leftist journos attack the token conservative voice of reason on that show and the disgusting and very obvious bias of Tony Jones and his hand picked audience on the Q and A show week after week, the more I am reminded that these faces and the many faceless accomplices within the leftist press and the national broadcaster, have now formed an enemies list as they declare the likes of Andrew Bolt, Alan Jones, Pier Akerman, Jason Morrison, David Oldfield, Mike Smith, Dennis Shanahan, Miranda Devine, Janet Albrechtsen and even yours truly just to name a few, as enemies of the state and extremists of the far right. Yes because we do not agree with their ideological wet dream, we are the extremist scum and wreckers of the world.

This is very dangerous and very chilling when you think of it because Hitler used this same rehtoric when he drew up the laws of the draconian Nazi state.

Earth Hour 2011‏

Earth Hour again? Well I guess if you know my work then you would know well my thoughts on the rubbish that is anthropological climate change thus you will understand when I refer to Earth Hour as STUPID HOUR!

It amuses still that this purely symbolic gesture in paganism and the far Left's agenda to redistribute the wealth of the first world in such a way that we all will return to the dark ages, both metaphorically and literally speaking, is still in practice. Last year it was seen as a virtual failure as progressively every year less and less people follow the instructions of the Gaia Zealots to turn off their power.

Two ironic points that can not be understated are that: Al Gore, the high priest of this stupid religion uses 20 more times the average household power daily and he has not one solar panel on the roof of his mansion and the other is that these useful idiots that fill the harbourside parks and venues when this self-deluded, self-praising and extremely pious act occurs, are the same soft headed twits that scream for development in the third world. Can you imagine the head-shaking -- of those in places where electricity is but a dream -- seeing these fat first worlders turning off their lights and popping champagne in the candle light!

Apart from the actual futility of turning off your lights in order to save electrical generation and thus reduce carbon emissions, because any thinking person knows that this doesn't work, the power generators are still running at the same rate, these Greenies still think that we all should feel a real sense of self shame just because we were fortunate enough to be born in this time and live in this place.

If they love the simple native dark life soooo much then why the hell don't they all just swap their lifestyle and homes for those in other parts of the world who would actually value progress.

Kinda sucks the air out of the room and that's probably a good thing as we are about to be taxed for using it.

The "No Carbon Tax" protester critique‏

The Left are upset because of a few banners that called Juliar Gillard a witch or a bitch or something along those lines. It doesn't matter; it was a free and democratically protected protest. What does matter here is not only the hypocrisy of the Left in this country, which clearly has no bounds, but that these outraged Gillard and Brown supporters who are in favour of a economy destroying carbon tax, are now calling for an end to freedom of speech unless of course you agree with their rose-coloured and distorted ideological wet dream view of the world.

Those who used a few expletives to express their justified outrage against an elected Prime Minister (tic) who stated clearly that she would not introduce a carbon tax and who now unapologetically reverses her pledge, are now being demonised as extremist of the far Right? And even called crazy and members of the KKK by actual ALP parliamentarians......WHAT THE....????!!!

It's as if the collective memory of the collective socialist left (and that's the Labour Party and the Greens dear reader) has suddenly and conveniently disappeared. I mean, this critique is coming from people who are famous for so called outrageous stunts and protest banners: Nazi symbols painted on images of our former PM John Howard and an effigy of John Howard kissing the rear end of the former US President G.W. Bush immediately spring to mind. I didn't say anything when I saw that because I thought, that's typical and the insult holds no ground in changing my views and my critique of it will not change theirs, so what's the point?

To say that a few defamatory slogans about their preferred PM should justify this name calling, horror and disgust is, as I have said early, hypocrisy of the highest order.

Seems the Left in this country and particularly the Leftist media need a history lesson and this cartoon should educate a few of them. Alas, most will continue to live in denial regardless of the facts; and that includes science.

The No Carbon Tax Rally

You would honestly think that if the PM really had the courage of her convictions regarding anthropological climate change (and that her Carbon Taxing system will reverse the effects of natural climate change and that there will be enough "TAX CUTS" to compensate the entire nation who will be affected by it), then you would have to expect that she would face the thousand or more rightfully concerned Australians rallying against this tax at Parliament House Canberra.

There would be a mix of voters and ages attending the protest but I believe that many are of a conservative mindset and more than most are of the older generation. You see with age comes wisdom and these Australians are speaking out not only for their own concerns relating to the ever rising costs and the impost of a tax that will have no real effect on climate but they are there representing those of us who couldn't get the day off work or the day away from study to be there ourselves.

When you have people who have NEVER protested about anything in their lives, massing in front of our Parliament House, holding NON CARBON TAX banners high, then one can only assume that if you as the PM really thought that you were imposing policy that is truly popular thing then you would face these people and answer their genuine concerns. You would also think that if you believed that you were on the side of what is correct for the economy and the future of the environment, as you continue to claim, then you would silence your critics with a referendum on the tax. You would expect that of a true Leader!

Juliar Gillard didn't claw her way to the top because she lacked intelligence, rather the opposite, she is very intelligent and it is clear that she is using her intelligence to avoid a fight that she cannot win based on truth and logic and a referendum defeat over her and the Greens Socialist Agenda to tax us all back to the stone age and redistribute the wealth just like the good little communist she is. She is smart alright but she has made one major error in her hubris claim..... she has underestimated the intelligence and selfless spirit of the very Australian people that she claims to represent and lead.

Barry O'Farrell's contract with the people of NSW

Barry O'Farrell is handing out contracts to the people whilst Kristina Keneally has her staff working overtime at the G.M.T, to make sure that all possible incriminating evidence of the last decade and more of ALP rule, is shredded and cannot be used against her government, which she clearly knows has Buckley's of winning this race.

What amazes even me, is that no matter what she shreds, this "lame duck" Premier could never hide all of the lies, waste, incompetence and just downright bad governance -- and even if she set the Governor Macquarie Tower on fire and reduced it to ashes, everything that matters is on the political record, media record and on the net!

If there are any outside of government personalities who were doing any business deals with the Government, then I am sure the new Government will be receiving phone calls from them also.

I just hope that this time this government will take these names and numbers, see what they want, find out how it was done in the ALP days and if any of it seems a little shady, then call in the authorities to deal with them. Then notify the media and expose and remind us all again just why in four years from now we should not forget the dark ages of the NSW ALP. Remember it's going to take a hell of a long time to clean up the mess in Japan but even longer to fix the mess left by the ALP in N.S.W.!

BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH

This cartoon is a direct response to the unsurprising leftist bias and dribble of the ABC and its unbalanced Monday night panel show called Q and A! featuring our illustrious leader Juliar Gillard.

Q stands for questions and as always most of the questions seemed almost as scripted as the hand picked leftist audience was. Laurie Oakes (a journalist of some note) even twittered in with a comment "Agree or disagree with her, she did an impressive job" I am paraphrasing but it was something like that.

A is for answers and as usual and as Laurie implied, she did an impressive job of NOT answering the questions directly but did admit to lying to the public pre-election, but that's okay because Juliar has redefined the word LIE to now being a misunderstanding between the definitions of an Emissions Trading Scheme, which she promised the voters apparently, and a Carbon Tax that the Greens deal was all about.

She and Tony Jones managed to get a nice dig into Talk Radio and all the shock jocks making us idiot puppet like people angry.

Well, what do I have to say about that? You know it's rubbish, as does any thinking person. We must really have them worried now. Can I suggest you get down to the local newsagents and pick up the latest copy of the Spectator Magazine, not just for the great cover art but for the brilliant and incisive piece on your Talk Radio and the attack on this bastion of free speech.

I guess the TEA Party movement must be starting to concern her a bit also, because she mentioned them a few times, unflatteringly of course and, like Joe Hockey, was in denial that they really do exist in Australia, WRONG AGAIN JULIAR.

This episode will come back to haunt Juliar in years to come as even she can see that the people are not as dumbed down as she and her party of social engineers think and that when you tell a LIE it will always come back to bite you on the bum.

Quaking up to reality

What a weekend of disaster to fall upon the Japanese people! Subsequently the world will also be affected via the markets. You just have to thank your God or whoever you talk to in the quiet of your mind, for the great fortune of being here in Australia.

As we witnessed on our tellies walls of water literally washing away entire lives, no such tragedy has been visited on the good folk of the "lucky country" -- though we still have own special natural traumas, in the form of fire, drought and flooding rain, to deal with.

Well, our own PM, fresh from her historic and let's face it, patronising tour of the USA, has had to face her very own personal disaster and is now, I hope, "QUAKING UP TO REALITY" (pun intended).

Can you believe that according to the latest Herald-Neilsen poll, Julia Gillard is now facing a 34 percent preference as PM behind the man that she deposed as PM, the now Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd, who is holding a lead over Gillard at 39 percent.

Polls, polls, polls I hear you say and yes the result is often about perception rather than reality and if this poll suits your bias then you would assume it accurate and true but I am sure the Gillard supporters don't agree.

With that said I do believe this poll is spot on because it is a tested theory and basically history repeating itself. Rudd was very unpopular when introducing his version of a Carbon Tax and as a result was opposed by the party because of his back flip on the ETS shortly after the then leader of the Federal Liberal Coalition, Malcolm Turnbull, was removed by his party for backing the extremely unpopular carbon trading scheme.

Therefore one would have to expect that if you lied about bringing in another version of the ETS prior to the election, the carbon tax, and then expect a different result to that of your predecessor, you must truly be either very stupid, deluded or trusting greatly in the advice of others. So which is it Prime Minister, are you making your own mistakes or is someone else helping you to lose your job?

Is Bob Brown and his Watermelon Party destroying the ALP from within, by forcing such destructive policy or is it Kevin who is the real mastermind of this Shakespearean plot to assassinate Juliar?

I am sure there will be book made in due time but then again the winners are the ones who write the history books. I guess the most obvious take here would be to remember the wise words of that great Spanish American philosopher, George Santayana.... "Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it".

The new feminist push for quotas

There are not enough women in Corporate Australia's big board offices? RUBBISH! One such recent claim here.

This is the cry of women who either haven't got what it takes to break through the so called "glass ceiling" or have tried and just can't get there yet: You poor dears. I wonder if Julia Gillard, Julie Bishop, Kristina Keneally, Quentin Bryce, Gale Kelly, just to name a few Australian woman in the big world of Politics and Business, would be where they are now if it wasn't for their determination, courage, intelligence and talent? Of course not and they are not in these roles because they are simply female!

To say that there is a male conspiracy to keep the ladies down and back in the secretarial pool or behind the sink is just insulting to women in general. The sexual revolution of the fifties, sixties and seventies was certainly needed to iron out the many cases of unfair work and pay conditions for women in general.

I am sure there are presently enough anti discrimination laws in this country to protect a woman's wage rates and conditions if she feels that her sex is the cause of her not getting the same as the boys. In fact when it comes to industrial relations, women have it far better than men, especially when it comes to work status --- i.e. part time when looking after kids or the arrangements with maternity leave etc as opposed to paternal leave which is rarely offered to new fathers or even taken up. I bet there are many men out there who do not even know that they have such legal rights under this act.

International Women's Day is used as the catalyst for this annual debate but really it is just more of the same socialist agenda and now the talk is leading to the usual socialist need for more regulation of your life. To actually make it law (which is being proposed by the ACTU) to have a certain percentage of females in the corporate boardrooms, is not only more BIG BROTHER (or is it SISTER? No it's COMRADE) but to regulate the sexes of your employees is truly patronising women and insulting their ability to earn any position in any occupation via their own merit, which incidentally is the ONLY reason why anyone should be in any position of employment in the first place.

Tell the Marxist Germaine Greer's of this world that their bra burning days are well and truly over and that normal people in our society do not and should never see ones sex as a reason to employ or not employ a person. The job is sometime sexually orientated of course. Female fashion models need to be female, Ruby players in the NRL need to be male, some jobs are just done better by men and or by women but that doesn't mean that there are no male fashion models and no female rugby players, just not at certain levels yet and that can always change too. God knows so many so called "norms" in our society are under attack and sometimes this is for the better and sometimes for the worse but what is definitely for the worse is to legislate laws that say you must employ or appoint people based on sexual orientation. This is a slippery road into the dark if you ask me.

The return of Pauline Hanson‏

Pauline is back! You beauty. I applaud this gutsy and patriotic Australian. She is not a racist because she sees the many failing factors of multiculturalism and our current immigration policy, as many of us do! She isn't a hypocrite because she is the child of immigrants, married a European man, employed an Asian woman to run her business and rented her home to an Aboriginal family. Does that sound like a racist to you?

She is only guilty of rejecting the fear that comes with political correctness and is saying just what many, many are to afraid to in public and boy doesn't that rattle the left and the major parties! Oakeshott and Windsor should take a good look at this lady and learn just what it is to be a true independent.

What I like about this politician is that she really isn't one. She is on a crusade to return Australia to the great and multiracial nation that it once was and is certainly not short of the support of many Australians who believe in what she stands for. The leftist media are salivating at her reappearance because now they have a new football to kick around and chase all over. They will try to test her but clearly they have learnt nothing. The questions will always be about her time with One Nation and never about her policies on health, transport, law and order etc, which I have heard today and agree wholeheartedly.

Any independent person who scares the major and minor parties so much must be on a good thing. The writing was on the wall for the Libs in Queensland back in the early noughties and in 2003 she was seen as such a threat that she was unjustly imprisoned for fraud. She is in fact our first and let's hope only political prisoner ( Bronwyn Bishop said that) and it is with a bowed head of shame that I cannot deny the involvement or the Liberal Coalition in the crime to have her gaoled. Of course she was acquitted of the crime after doing some time and as far as I know has never seen a penny of compensation for being wrongfully imprisoned.

The ALP are not off the hook either as they were just as damning of her then and now the lame duck Premier Kristina Keneally, has immediately used her application to run in the next State Election for the NSW Upper House as an excuse to distance her party from the false allegations of her racism and undesirable policies.

Unlike the Keneally Governments many undesirable policies at least Pauline stands for honestly, integrity, courage and national pride. What does Kristina stand for other than waste and staying in power. The Greens have accused Pauline Hanson of having decisive policies! which is just about the most stupid thing I have ever heard because I doubt there is any one policy on the platform of any political party that can not be seen as decisive or controversial to someone. Must I remind the Greens of their long list of wacky minority policies, legalising some illicit drugs comes to mind!!!

So , GO PAULINE GO, get in there and speak up for the silent majority and try to keep the bastards honest..... if that is possible?

Independent Free Speech - WINDSOR STYLE‏

I as a political cartoonist have certainly had my share of threatening and insulting emails concerning my take on political and social issues. So what! I choose to stand up and have my say both with the written word and with my cartoons and as a result I have naturally received constructive and very nonconstructive critique for my efforts. Great I say, bring it on because that is the beauty of living in a country where freedom of speech is the foundation stone of our democracy. If Independent MP, Tony Windsor, thinks that he can please all the people all the time then he should get out of politics today!!!

His claim that talk show hosts are being used in a contrived attempt to bring down the Gillard/Brown government via public on air debate over the proposed Carbon Tax is beyond ridiculous and is a slap in the face of our democratic right to have our say. Surely as a politician, Tony Windsor would appreciate that he may have to make unpopular choices to further what he believes is in the best interests of the country. The Carbon tax is obviously one of those choices that he is backing -- and I am sorry to tell you this Tony, but you are most probably in the minority as to the ultimate value that this tax will have on the Australian economy and way of life. PM Gillard never had a mandate to introduce this Carbon Tax and neither do you. If thousands of Australians choose to write to newspapers and or ring up Talk Back radio stations to air their grievance about this policy then who are you to say that they can not? and just who do you think you are to create a conspiracy theory because a few hot heads have left a few nasty voice messages on your message service.

I don't agree with the tone or the words of these voice mailers and really if they have threatened you then clearly the Police will investigate that crime. In the meantime suck it up mate, stand up for what you believe in and stop comparing the act of one lone nut job in the USA with our public debate about a very public issue. If you can't stand the heat mate, get out of the kitchen!

My take today segues conveniently into the fact that the 83rd Academy Awards are being held -- and, like most Australians, I wish the Aussie actors who have been nominated all the best of luck and congratulations.

There is of course one Australian actor who has not been nominated but continues to take the world political stage in varied roles, depending on her direction of course. We heard prior to the 2010 Federal election only too clearly that the direction Julia Gillard wanted to take Australia was FORWARD. Now we hear that the direction that she wants to take us all in is BACKWARD!!!

Yes, thanks to her new role as the puppet Prime Minister of the Greens Party, Senator Bob Brown has directed his leading lady to introduce a carbon tax that will in a short time send many jobs offshore, raise the price of living, thus lowering the standards of living that we here in the "LUCKY" country have taken for granted for too long -- and, it must be said, have fought and died for. Yes backwards to the a pre-industrial age lifestyle and a third wold economy is the script Brown and his human-hating Greens wish all to accept as the movie genre of the year.

Dear Julia, obsessed with the office of Prime Minister and keeping the Labor Party in power has agreed to this pact with the far left socialists of the Greens. Is there anything or anyone who can stop this disaster from occurring?

Yes there is, YOU! When next you find yourself in a voting booth trying to decide who is best to run the country and protect our children's inheritance, then simply remember all that the Rudd/Gillard government have wasted your money on and the promises broken and all that the Godless Greens want done to our economy and our way of life. I think the choice for any thinking person is obvious enough.

It's true that life does imitate art from time to time and that's fine for Hollywood but in this case if we allow our life to be directed by the those who truly do live in a fantasy world then do not be surprised if you wake up one morning and find yourself living in that world.

In the next month or so there is going to be a massive rally in Canberra to show the real Julia or whoever this actress is on that day, that we the Australian people have beenTaxed Enough Already and that until the science regarding the question of anthropogenic climate change is thoroughly debated by those who do understand such science then Julia Gillard can take her great conviction that she bases this tax on, as her mandate to the next election and lets see if the people really do want this BIG NEW TAX!!!

THE REAL INCONVENIENT LIE‏

Who the hell would be surprised at this backflip? This PM and her government haven't kept one pre-election promise and I guess we are all cynical enough and apathy-affected never to put any credence in a pre-election pledge of any politician. But with that said, if any promise had to be broken then this is the one I was hoping she would keep. Julia wants a "great big new tax"

Clearly the deal done with the Greens and the Independents,(Oakeshott and Windsor ) by the ALP for the numbers needed to maintain government is now in play. Disgustingly this PM of ours has put her Labor Party's needs above that of the people by introducing a carbon TAX and with no real concern for those without, she is effectively destroying her party's chances of winning the next election......irony, I love it!

Most people are not sold on the false science of anthropogenic climate change (polls are bogus at best) and the rest are either so wedded to the religious ideology of Gaia, the mythological goddess personifying the earth, or are just too apathetic and ignorant to care or understand just what is happening and why. This is what Gillard and the Greens have been counting on to introduce two taxes ( the flood levy also pushed though on the same day ) whilst all of Australia is transfixed on the recent Earthquake disaster in New Zealand.

The fact is that she is on record as stating that no carbon tax will be introduced by a government that she leads........... well, clearly she is not running the government , Brown Milne, Oakshott and Windsor are and that is a travesty of our democracy. This minority government arrangement is unfair and unbalanced and needs to go. I am not sure if the politics of this will make it possible for Tony Abbott and the Coalition to stop this economic rape but I am sure if there was an election tomorrow, Gillard and her socialist criminals would be tossed out on their so called " feel good asses".

Everything will rise in price, from petrol to all goods and service and it will certainly be the elderly and the disabled and sick and those on minimum wage or welfare that will feel the effects of this tax more than ever. Hopefully this large segment of the Australian public will hold this government to account on the next election day.

If it wasn't enough that our Apple farmers have to compete with the POLISHED COMPOST BIN of apples from China (I call them that because there is a great deal of evidence that the Chinese farmer uses HUMAN FECES to fertilise their crops), our glorious leader has historically stood before the New Zealand Parliament and thought to herself.... " How can I make these Kiwis like me?", .... and within seconds she was declaring the Australian Apple Market fair game and hoped that our brothers and sisters across the ditch can grow rich from the fruit loving Aussies. I cannot see a good side to this decision, on the other hand is this not more evidence of the continuing ideology of the Marxist Left, to destroy the backbone and foundation stone of any independent western nations and that being, it's own food security. Clearly she wants us to continue to be dependant on overseas sources for our very survival. If this isn't treason by stealth then I don't know what it is.

Yep, the brand ALP is really on the nose at present and nowhere more than within the party itself. Truly it is hard to find the ALP logo on anything to do with its members these days.

Speak No Dribble, Hear No Dribble!

I refer you to an insightful piece by the brilliant News Limited columnist, Piers Akerman.

I was relieved to read this because I was starting to think that I was the only one who noticed the massive gap in crisis leadership skills that has been displayed in the last few days between Queensland's Premier, Anna Bligh and the PM, Julia Gillard. Fortunately Piers and a few other brilliant members of the commentariat (independent Talk Back presenters I mean) have also commented today on this glaring personality flaw displayed by our PM.

I am not a fan of Bligh or her Government, in fact it is likely that she we receive the same voter "get out of town" card at her next election as most certainly the New South Wales ALP government will also receive. BUT, during this tough time for this proud Queensland woman, we have seen her provide just the sort of leadership that you would expect from a PM.

Constant updates, in the middle of the fight always and showing a real and human side of her nature whilst co-ordinating a brilliant recovery plan. Only the opposite can be said for PM Gillard.

At best this was just another photo opportunity and her media tone and poor commitment to charity at home was enough to make this little cynical black duck wince. Wayne Swan, Peter Garret, Penny Wong and Bob Brown especially are as usual missing in action and not available for comment. "Still handing out the NO DAMS stickers Bob?"

I do think that the PM deliberately stood back from the issue so as to give Premier Bligh the chance to lift her personal poll ratings (and it will) and as far as the Labor Party line is concerned I can see why she would do that -- but still this would have been a great opportunity for her also to lift her approval figures.

Alas it appears that Miss Gillard has not learnt the lesson that former PM Rudd had to learn and that is to never take the Australian people for granted or for mugs.

Laughing in the face of Death

The Queensland floods: I am not making fun of this tragedy, let's get that straight. This natural disaster is a major concern for all Australians and any of us who are not directly effected by these floods should get down on our knees and thank the Lord above for such mercy as well as pray for those affected. Whether it is this terrible event in Queensland and Northern New South Wales or the Victorian Bush Fires or Cyclone Tracey or any one of the many, many ways that nature has shown us just how small we really are and remind us that we can not control the weather or prevent such fury from being unleashed on the land, we will prevail in the end.

After saying that and feeling most humble I am will now pump out my chest and state that in all of the above mentioned human disasters there has always been one thing that mother nature can not take from us, no matter how hard she tries and that is our spirit of human survival: That in-built human desire to overcome adversity and to help our fellow man and woman and child to find their feet again and get back to the job of living.

One way that Aussies do that very well is via their sense of humour. Be it war or acts of God, our ability to laugh in the face of a fight has always been a huge part of out human soul and the Australian psyche and that is what makes us different from all other living beings on this great planet.

We can ague until the cows come home about how many political leaders throughout our short history have neglected to look far enough into the future to prevent this regular event in Queensland from touching so many lives and we can hope that just maybe this time one of them will be motivated enough to put into place infrastructural designs that will protect human lives and property in the future? but until then we do what we do best, we survive and just get on with living.

Happy Same OLD NEW Year

Now far be it for me to be lazy, because I am not! I really love my craft, I love to draw and I was thinking for a while today what I would draw (say) to mark the end of this year and to see the new one in.

I am a complete optimist and I will always hope and believe that the next day will be a better one than the last. I, like most people, believe that one learns from their mistakes and that this simple wisdom will go a long way to improving the future for us all.

I thought to myself, "what did I say on last years NYE toon?". I checked and as I read the cartoon I realised that this is virtually the same cartoon that I was going to draw this year. All of the issues that plagued our society back in 2009 are still there!.

Therefore I think that the most relevant lesson to be learnt this year is we understand that we do have short memories and if we do not remember the mistakes of the past then we can be assured that those mistakes will still be repeated year after year after year.

Thank God we here is New South Wales will not be repeating the mistake that we made back in March 2007 and as a result we will see a return to a conservative and fiscally sensible governance in this state (I hope so anyway, tic).

Also, that if we are given the chance later in the new year, we may be able to remove the dangerous ALP/Greens Federal coalition, anything that should have happened a few months ago.

So dear reader, Happy 2011 to us all, I hope the year ahead will bring prosperity, happiness, good health and wealth (in whatever form that wealth comes to you) and that we will never forget that the mistakes of the past and never be forced to repeat them due to our LAZINESS!!!

The Real Grinch of Christmas

Well, hasn't this been an interesting year as far as the local and national political scene was concerned. I guess you can say that "the beat goes on" and no matter who is banging the drum they are still out of rhythm and not playing our tune.... generally speaking of course.

Political cartoonists like myself have had a gift all year, with a plethora of fools and bad policy to lampoon. I am sure nothing will change next year but still I am looking forward to the show and to making my satirical comments stick and amuse.

It's a matter of FREEDOM OF SPEECH, that's all

I must admit that when I first heard of this man, Julian Assange and his WikiLeaks website, I thought here we go another anti establishment lefty who has nothing better to do than to hack into government websites and realise confidential military information that will soon be in the hands of the enemy.

I guess it is true that some of the information that has been released has caused genuine concern relating to the safety of some individuals who are or were involved in activities that they would be better placed to remain anonymous....... or so that is what the US Government told us all!

I guess that is the main sticking point for me but after that I can gladly join in with the chorus of millions of people throughout the world who value our very freedom of speech, as I certainly do, and say that this man should be set free and made a hero of the public for having the guts to expose diplomatic cables and other so called confidential papers that clearly point to corruption and deception by leaders, ministers and diplomats globally.

Incidents ranging from involvement in corporate/government rorts to war crimes.

The fact that several government leaders have condemned the man so quickly and many have called for his immediate imprisonment for just exposing the truth, would have you think that the entire first world has become a huge Stalinist state...........

Hmmmmmm, looks like the Fabians really did get want they wanted for Christmas, ONE WORLD SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT!

If Assange was nothing more than a journalist, doing his job to expose corruption and deceit then why would a government either the US or UK or Sweden and even Australia be so quick to condemn him and cook up some charge of sexual assault as a way to get him behind bars.

I guess the truth is just a little toooo scary for many first world government leaders to cope with and the solution to their fear is to shut down the voice of dissent and freedom. Sorry I am with Assange now because I will not stand by and watch as a man (regardless of his ideology) is made a pariah and political prisoner. It certainly doesn't change my support because he is also an Australian either.

THE BIG CONCERNS‏

I have decided to take some advice and take a new direction regarding my random social comments and observations in writing.
I am a cartoonist, not a journalist and although both professions have very close ties in making social commentary, literally speaking they are worlds apart.

I have had several people comment that my writing was good and informative, also valid at times and I have had just the opposite response also.

The truth is that I do work too hard and sometimes sigh when I have drawn a cartoon and then know that I need to write about it. I just do not enjoy writing about what I have just drawn and really see no need to continue doing this.

Basically, life is to short and one must always focus on what they do best and enjoy best, if they are ever to excel and that is why I will no longer be offering a few paragraphs of my opinion on a subject but rather just let the cartoon tell the story.

I will assist my loyal followers by adding a news report link so as to assist any one out there who has just been to busy to know exactly what the cartoon is referring too ....... and really that is most of us these days......

Q and A - Question and Attack.

John Howard says Q&A shoe attack 'all in a night's work'

I say the full story but really is it? OK here I go again, delving into conspiracy theory but really you can't blame anyone for not thinking that just maybe this was a deliberate stunt that had the full blessing of the national broadcaster. Again I state clearly that this is not fact but just opinion and I base my suspicion on the following observations.

1. I have never seen the camera angle from above and behind the panel used on the show before, I mean really it is almost believable to think that the camera was placed where it was for the maximum effective shot of this clown throwing his shoes at J.W. Howard.

2. This bloke had a virtual front row seat. Coincidence maybe, but still he was in the perfect throwing position to launch his attack. I have never attended an audience of this show before so just maybe someone can answer this question. Do you get directed to a seat by the ABC staff and or are you self seating, first in best dressed?

3. This protester, Peter Gray, is a well known serial pest ( sorry protester ). This left wing radical from the central coast of NSW has performed more than a few public protest stunts before and I am sure that the good folk at Auntie would have recognised him if not his name. Here's another question, do you have to give your name when attending the studio audience, is there any sort of ID checking at the door or screening at all? I mean can I just be walking past the Ultimo studio on the night and walk straight into this audience?

4. The ABC digital moderator who receives the hundreds of text, email messages and twitter comments during a show and who decides to let what go to air, suddenly there's a twit post that appears "Will someone through a shoe at this guy NOW". Within a minute of that comment appearing on our screens at home, we had a man throwing his shoes at the former PM. Was that the prompt that he was waiting for? can someone tell me if the audience can see these on-screen comments as we in TV land can?

Well there you have it, just a few reasons why I think this may be a set up. Not because he is a conservative PM, because we all know that there is a strong leftist bias on this show (I will not even bother to argue that truth), no it is more likely that it would just make very exciting viewing and will certainly (and has) draw attention to the show from foreign media outlets. Oddly too this wouldn't have hurt sales for the new Howard memoir but to suggest Howard , the ABC and Gray were working together on this is even too far out there for me.

After all is said and done, I say no harm was really done, I mean the reputation that Mr Gray already has will not be damaged by what he has done and certainly John Howard was and is not the sort of man to go weak at the knees because a protester decided to emulate a few Iraqi protesters. I am sure he (Howard) has had his share of real scares in public life and this one was water of a duck's back but this does bring me to one real concern and that is, just how safe are the panelists or the host of this show.

I mean what if the man had a gun? is there any airport security type screening before you get in the studio? Probably not, I too would not like to go through that but just think about it. We could have witnessed a live to air assassination of a political leader. Does this mean now that people will be screened? I mean I doubt they (Q&A) could get Salman Rushdie in for a live audience let alone someone who is only slightly disliked for their world views but now who would want to go on the show knowing that from the darkness of the audience a projectile with their name on it may just come hurtling at them, prime time.

Hmmmmmmm a bit of head scratcher really but I can envisage the next conservative heavyweight appearing on the panel (sic) wearing a Kevlar Vest and a riot helmet!?!

Moore Madness

Everyone has their little pet peeves and I for one have quite a few. From Big Government, High Taxation, Massive Debt to the fall of our Australian Sovereignty. So you might think that this next gripe is really quite small in the scheme of things!?!

If you live in any other city of this great land of ours you would not be aware of the massive daily grind of the local Sydneyite, as they struggle for HOURS a day to get to work and to get home.

Congestion on the roads is not an unexpected side effect to living in a metropolis such as Sydney but then again you would expect that the local government bodies and the State government to be doing all that they can to relieve the pressure of driving in this over populated town and to ensure that future generations will see the benefit of their infrastructural vision.

Alas we are taking about the NSW Labor Government, just one in a string of governments in this state that have not come close to the vision of a better future for Sydney and surrounding areas since the days of Bradfield and his Harbour Bridge and Highway.

Locally we have a Lord Mayor. Her name is Clover Moore and as many commentariats have commented for years now, she does lives in a leftist/Marxist world of big government and wet ideological dreams of a Utopian Sydney that to her own design will resemble something of the Garden of Eden with bicycles for all and no reminders of our past colonial or British heritage.

She would like to impose a new congestion tax on us all, just because we have the nerve to live here and drive a motor car.
From her 200 or more kilometres of bike only lanes now throughout the CBD causing even more traffic mayhem and business closure, to her great "Artistic endeavour" called "Art and About" ... where she has commissioned like minded "artists" to basically deface and decry the memory and statuesque beauty of the likes of Governor Macquarie, Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, just to name a few of the iconic statues that now bear a resemblance to the characters from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, throughout our once great city.

When will we be able to vote as an entire city or state for a Lord Mayor who is actually not about stamping his or her ideology in the pages of history but more about fixing the many neglected local and state infrastructure and business issues of Sydney?

Well, it hasn't been more than a week since the new "paradigm" Parliament has commenced and already the Greens are clearly showing us all, including the so called leader of the country, Julia Gillard, that they are calling in the shots and setting the agenda. How has this minor party of radical Marxist warriors achieved so much power in such a short time? Clearly the answer is because of the stupidity, hubris and arrogance of Independents such as Wilkie, Oakeshott and Windsor combined with the "whatever it takes" to hold on to power ideology of the Australian Labor Party.

The debts are being called in and already the secret deals that were done prior to the election that Tony Abbott should never have lost, are being exposed and the biggest lie ever told to the Australian people outed. Along with the deal done with the certain Mining Magnates, aka Dr Marius Kloppers ( the only one to put his hand up so far) and Bob Brown's ideological wet dream to tax us all back to the stone age.

The newly formed Climate Change Committee, which will meet every month is no more a committee of ideas, real science and free thought than a polite politburo meeting during Brezhnev's Kremlin days. In fact the speed at which the Green wish list.....read this ABC report ..... is being rolled out, would make the march of Hitler's Brown Shirts and Armies through Europe in 1939, look nothing less than a casual doddle.

Oakeshott has now joined the coalition of the criminally insane by becoming a card carrying member of this Ponzi Scheme Sham Committee, a committee that will never allow any dissenting voice to be heard. Remember, even though the science is still far from accurate or proven, in fact it is being decried louder and louder as laughable rubbish every day by real scientists, we are being told now that the debate ( which never happened) is over and the time for action is upon us.

So what I would like you to do prior to any coming election is every time you look at your ever increasing power and utility bills and then go to the shop to buy the ever increasingly expensive groceries in a car that you can no longer afford to run, stop for a moment, get angry and remember who put the Greens in power and who betrayed your Australian and your children's Australian way of life. Remember who wants you to live in the third world and remember that they are not Conservatives.

THE VULTURES OF WAR

Having served in an Australian Army Regiment myself for nine years, there is one thing that I know that is inherent in the minds of all Australian soldiers, from combat veterans to weekend warriors, and that is that you must always look after your mate! This simple Aussie philosophy is why we have one of the most successful and respected Defence Forces in the world.

No doubt you have heard the story from the media: Commandos face court over civilian deaths in Afghanistan

And understandably, like most, you are probably fuming because you cannot stand the thought of Australian combat soldiers who are risking all for our and others greater good, being prosecuted for doing what 99.9 percent of us could only imagine doing.

War is hell and in that hell we can only imagine that there would be split second decisions needed to be made in order to not only get the job done successfully but to simply survive the battle. We are all human, including diggers and Generals and because of that we can make errors.

Was there an error made here and if so was there any other option but to fight to save your mates and yourself? Although I was not there and have no idea of exactly what happened and the circumstances leading to the TRAGEDY (only what I have read of course), the ins and outs of the tactical details and the minds of the soldiers under fire and the danger that made up this terrible event, I can count on this simple fact and that is there will always be casualties in a physical conflict such as this the war against the Taliban and Al-Al Quaida in Afghanistan and to the greatest regret of any Australian involved or not, there may well be civilian casualties.

These casualties are never an seen by decent human beings as an acceptable event or "collateral damage" and are not seen this way by our diggers (and I believe those concerned especially) or the ADF.

The one important thing that is being overlooked here, in my opinion, is that if wrong doing was done then it will be exposed by our military legal code and always justly dealt with. This cannot be said for this enemy, who take no pain in using children and woman as human shields (knowing that we are civilised soldiers and follow the civilised conventions of warfare) and it is the enemy that will always profit from any negative propaganda that can be stirred up by such western media attention.

I will stick my neck out and say here now that I believe the soldiers will be acquitted and that this will be seen for what I believe it is, a tragedy of war. I just hope that the issue does not stir up or give ammunition to the enemy without (the Taliban) and or the other front line and that is the enemy within: The usual "peacenik" activists and fools who cannot see that their way of life, including their right to be fools and side with the enemy's cause, is itself in jeopardy if we lose this war.

The effect that this will have and always has had on troops currently in the field is not only sobering for them but also just as concerning and destructive to the successful outcome of our military endeavours, This is a matter that needs to be dealt with "in house" and should not be a matter of such public debate until the facts are known and the the verdict is in. Even then, should it not be the right of a fighting army, fighting a war to win, to be able to keep that information to itself at least until the war is over? Or are newspaper sales just that much more important?

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

As I type this rant, the so called independent minister, Rob Oakeshott, is in a meeting with his new overlord, and the PM will no doubt be making him an offer he probably couldn't refuse, even if he wanted to.

As a back bencher he would be earning approximately $132,000.00 a year and if he takes up the offer of a front bencher in the Gillard/Brown government then he stands to make an extra $102,900.00 extra per annum.

As a family man, with young children and as a man who faces electoral suicide due to his anti-conservative vote for the ALP last week, can I be excused for believing that he may well cash in his chips this way and take either a ministerial posting and maybe a cabinet position.

Hmmmmm a cabinet position, well that would certainly oblige him to confidentiality with the ALP and thus turns his claim as an "Independent" into nothing more than a joke.

I believe that if Rob Oakeshott really does want a future in politics then he should follow his leftist heart, take an ALP/Greens appointment and do it sooner than later as well as joining the ALP. Not sure what union he would need to sign up for but I am sure there would be a few looking for another paying member.

I say sooner than later because I agree with the likes of former ALP power broker Graham Richardson and former Liberal Leader, John Hewson who both stated today that this minority ALP/Greens government has no more than 18 months left to live:

It would be most remiss of me to not pay some kind of tribute to a man who is no doubt be extremely missed by many, many people in this country right at this moment and for many years to come. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues and to state the obvious he is a hero in my book. Anyone who puts on the blue uniform, especially these days, has my utmost respect and obedience.

There is not much good that can come from such a tragedy except to say that the scum responsible will meet their just reward in the end and I have faith that Detective Senior Constable Will Crews will be standing before his maker with a sense of true pride, purpose and worth. Australia, the land of Minority Rule!‏

Condolences Australia, your democracy means b*gger all! Why do I say this? simply because I have always and I believe most of us agree that it is generally understood that the basic principal of democracy is that the MAJORITY DECISION RULES. Well in our case of late, this is clearly not the case.

The Liberal National Coalition received more votes and more seats with the message to the Australian Labor Party, "we are not happy with your government!". Seems that message was heard but clearly thanks to our ridiculous electoral system of preference voting, we now have the most left wing and DANGEROUS SOCIALIST alliance in Canberra today.

I have tried to look for the method in the madness of the two so called "Independents" (what a joke that word now is!), Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott, and I can not see any reason for their backing of the ALP/Greens other than for personal gain.

The real truth that these two men need to realise is that they have spat in the eye of their constituency,a massively Conservative constituency, as well as the majority of voting Australians, by siding up with some of the most crazy and anti capitalistic people in the country.

There is no stable government at present, a minority federal government just cannot deliver such a thing. Therefore that argument holds no water with me and if these two "progressive trendsetting" MP's think that there will be any real parliamentary reform or economic success or have any of their issues dealt with in accordance with conservative ideology of their respective electorates, then they clearly do not understand the nature of the beast. Tony Abbott is a Liberal hero and will be the next PM of Australia and I am sure that will be as a result of a real election and one not so far off as people think.

ONE MINUTE TO MIDNIGHT‏

We have been told that this weekend will be the last one we need to wait through before we will know just who will be running our country and economy for the next three years.

We have been listening to the undecided king or queen makers (Oakeshott, Windsor and Katter) tell us that it is all about stable government and that installing a stable government regardless of its ideology will be the marker for their choice?

Well in places like China, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, just to name a few, they would be considered as "stable governments" or as I would describe them, BIG GOVERNMENTS with Totalitarian/ Dictatorships as their base. So my point is that stable government sounds good but clearly it is not always what a healthy Western style democracy requires -- and with the most leftist incumbent government since Chifley, the new ALP/Greens coalition will certainly prove to be a big taxing socialist government as compared to the alternative, a more Conservative, small lower taxing government on offer from the Liberal/National Coalition.

Gough Whitlam would be very proud of the Communist progressive movement in this country and I am sure that even the former National Party Independents would not be unaware that the majority of their constituency did vote for a conservative member. Therefore you would think that an Abbott government would get the balance of power by a just a few seats. Alas I am really not convinced of that anymore.

I just hope that what I saw on a Sky news program a few nights ago, a round table interview with all three rural independents, will not lead to an ALP/Greens minority government being elected.

The body language, especially from Rob Oakeshott and Tony Windsor, along with all that was discussed, was certainly leaning to the left as the choice. I suspect that the deals have already been done and that this weekend is just a rest period and a regrouping for these blokes to work out just how they are going to break the bad news to the country.

God I do hope that I am wrong but I do think that the country will fall back into the socialist hands of power and it will be another three years of rape and pillage for our economy and our social way of life.

Trust your government to our safe hands!‏

Well here we are again NSW, this latest event in the long line of scandal and disgrace that is the New South Wales Labor government certainly gives new meaning to the old adage "idle hands are the devil's work".

Well it seem that this saying may take on a new meaning after we all found out yesterday of the disgraceful behaviour of NSW Ports Minister, Paul McLeay.

Clearly he did the right thing by resigning but then again what choice did he have? You couldn't cover up this one. Let's not forget that he still holds his seat and is still being paid our tax dollars to serve as a Minister.

WRONG, by-election or not, this character should be fired -- and isn't it about time that Premier Kristina Keneally stopped the madness and took a walk to the Governors office to request an election? At least she would then be remembered in the pages of our political history as a politician who wasn't anybody's GIRL -- or puppet -- rather as a person of courage and a sense of independence.

This indulgent MP, McLeay (he is married you know) can gamble online and surf the net for as much porn as he can get, it is not illegal and who am I to say that he should not?

Well I'll tell you who I am, I am one of the millions of fed up, over-taxed workers of New South Wales and this bloke's wages comes from my efforts and yours, everyday. When is it ever acceptable that a Minister of the Crown in one of the most important portfolios of government, Ports, is spending his duty time checking out the sexual explicitness of the Internet or gambling online when clearly this is not the mandate given by us the taxpayers, the people.

I do not except his apology (that is for his family to forgive) and neither will I accept the weak-kneed response from this Premier, for yet another of in a long laundry-list of failures, corruption, incompetence and scandal that is clearly business as usual for the NSW ALP.

PLEASE HOLD THE LINE

These are interesting times to say the least but still it is very healthy and good for democracy and a reminder to all why we must be vigilant to protect it at all costs.

I am sure you feel like I did on Saturday night, it was like watching the grand final, your team was playing and there was a tied result with the decision as to the winning score remaining on the shoulders of a faceless video referee to get around to making his mind up. In our case the video ref will be a handful of ex-Nat Independents and a Green (the Green who will side with the Labor party of course).

It won't be good for business confidence, though, and with the Greens now set to cause policy paralysis in the Parliament I believe we can expect to see the value of our dollar start to fall very soon.

The good news is the national swing against Labor and the strong message that this sends to all. This swing wasn't all due to incompetent ALP state governments and the political execution of Kevin Rudd but I believe was in part to the last 3 years of waste and mismanagement -- not to mention the massive debt and deficit that we all face now -- and also in part due to Gillard's abandoning her party's leftist support base regarding climate change and the ETS back flip and her anti gay marriage stance (I applaud her there) thus resulting the huge Green vote.

One thing is for sure, that from now on the pollies will learn a lesson by this and be more careful about taking us all for granted in the future.

I do think that the remaining independents will do a deal with Abbott as they are former Nats and probably still hold to a conservative ideology. This will depend a lot on just how accommodating Abbott will be though, so it is not a lay down misere and certainly it would only be wise to keep the Nationals out of the negotiations.

This is a great result for rural Australia as the independents in questions do hold constituencies in the much neglected regional areas of Australia.

Parliamentary reform may be on the cards and a few bills that Abbott hadn't considered may be passed without too much opposition as a result of any deal with the Indies -- but then again the Greens will have some real power in the Senate now and this will paralyse any real Conservative protection bills for the next 3 years but should nullify the madness and chaos that the Greens are no doubt determined to unleash on us all.

Seems to me that regardless of the leadership outcome, assuming also that we do not get called to hold another election by the Governor General, that things will remain at the status quo and hopefully the blockage to the ETS and the reintroduction of the "Pacific Solution" will still make it through.

We are on hold to the rest of the world and this hasn't happened in 70 years and I am sure your call is actually important to the Canberra Cronies this time around. I would like to state that the Canberra press gallery really do have some real egg on their face and the media cheer squad is very quiet in its Gillard support since Saturday's historic election outcome.

Can I draw your attention to a new political magazine that has hit the national scene in the last week. It is the Next Strategy and although I am a regular contributor and obviously biased in my praise, I would ask you to check it and consider making it a part of your monthly news read. This magazine along with The Spectator Australia (weekly) are about the only non-left alternatives when it come to the freedom of speech choice in the Australian press.

How to catch a sloth

Tony Abbott wants to reward people for getting off the dole

Well I guess it's time to show you all that I am not that biased that I can't see an error in judgement when it faces me -- and in this case that error is coming from the Conservative side of politics. Conservative? well not this policy anyway. Abbott's welfare reform plan stinks of socialism in my book.

I understand his desire to get the capable person who has chosen to be unemployed as a career choice, off the dole and who wouldn't agree with that but really is this the way to do it.

I really do not think that he has thought about this one at all. Firstly, if a person is happy to remain on dole payments for 6 - 12 to even 24 months then I dare say that a few thousand dollars at the end of 12 - 24 months of work, will never be enough incentive for them to change their lazy ways. Think about it....., these bludgers are not interested in working for anyone at any price if it involves a commitment to responsible behaviour that most of us except and obey everyday of our lives.

Many of them live at the family home and many of those live in a house full of terminally unemployed. A lot have worked out a way to pool their welfare payments to cover the cheap rent (And in the case of the housing commission: Well, that's nothing is it?) and a lot do legal and probably illegal tasks part time for cash money.

No Tony, a good intention but a bad plan. It is not my way to see anyone rewarded for living on welfare and in fact if you want a policy that works then the answer is obvious to me. If you are genuinely unemployed for six months and can prove active searching for work, then your dole should continue for another 6 months, with regular fortnightly checks to ensure that you are applying for work, and if you fail then you are taken off the payments. If at the one year mark you are still unemployed and can show no real reason why you can not get a job, then the payments stop and you will be required to work in a job that the government puts you in, say cleaning streets, or graffiti removal or some kind of work that no one wants to do but must be done. This work will be paid of course but still at the dole rate.

I am sure that after a few weeks of that work you will find a better job or you will choose the fools way out and join the criminal world or the street. If either of those become your choice then we have a little system called the Police Force to deal with the criminally minded and the charities can carry the rest and I am sure that if someone is that deranged then they probably had a mental issue to start with and really that is a system that must also be heavily addressed for its deficiencies.

Possibly the reason why someone isn't looking for work is due to a minor mental issue and that during the checking process, if this can be somehow tested for, then a treatment program to build confidence and skills could be undertaken as well. I am sure there are quite a few long-term unemployed that have lost confidence in themselves after a few rejections in the job hunt and this can manifest into a vicious cycle that makes the next job interviewer not see the potential of the candidate before them.

There is also the social engineering issue, that if you want to be a Rock Star, a Super Model or a Movie Director or some glamorous dream career then you can do that, no worries at all. This idea and the idea that everyone's a winner all the time, has been placed in our kids heads for many years and thus has set them up as young adults who cannot deal with the realities of the real world. So I guess the problem with long term unemployed can stem from the school and home life and the values taught within. It is not wrong to want to prescribe a cure for the cause rather than the symptom but the social engineers (the Marxists) will shout you down as an old school flat-earther if your dare to let your kid lose a race and not let them feel as if they won it and not reward every little mediocrity.

It has been a generational problem in this country since the sixties and especially since the Whitlam days, that the Australian psyche has become one of a welfare dependence and this is all a part of the socialist dream and plan to ensure that the public is always dependant on the state. This is what needs to be reversed now if we are ever to truly progress.

There is no doubt anymore good reader, these ALP fraudsters and spivs are running scared from Tony Abbott, and the proof has to be in the announcement of rubbish policy like this.

Apart from the physical impossibilities of performing an accurate "physical examination" via a two dimensional medium such as the Internet and the obvious disadvantage this service would be to anyone who does not have such technology at home, what about the costs to the practitioner and then the patient?

Yes, just imagine your next medical bill tripling in cost, because now the medical insurance premiums that your good doctor has to pay to ensure against a malpractice litigation are sure to go through the roof (as if they weren't through the roof already!) due to the HIGH RISK nature of providing accurate human diagnosis via a computer screen.

No folks, this election is a no-brainer and hopefully the faster they run the more they will trip over and fall. I just hope that Tony Abbott and his conservatives will pick up on this fact soon and get an anti ad out about this fraud today!

After 3 years in government we are still dealing with amateurs, come on Tony, save us all please!!!

Pork Barreling 101‏

Yet another glaring example of just how much contempt the Australian Labor Party has for the basic intelligence of the Australian and in this case, New South Wales voter.

On August 1st, in a letter from NSW Transport Minister John Robertson to Parramatta councillor Chiang Lim, Mr Robertson says the“Parramatta-Epping rail link is not a project in the 10-year horizon of the Metropolitan Transport Plan.”

Then just a few days later Premier Kristina Keneally along with her Federal counterpart, Prime Minister Julia Gillard announces that this much promised and much lied about piece of vital infrastructure, will go ahead because of a $2.6 billion dollar pledge by the federal government (borrowed money) to make it happen if the Gillard regime is returned in the coming federal election. A multibillion dollar bribe and a classic case of pork barreling to win over the affected marginal Labor seats that this rail corridor runs through. Give me a break please! This bloody political football has been kicked around by both sides since the late seventies and all of a sudden if we vote Labor this miracle will finally appear, this time!

Sorry but I don't need to be cynical, just possess a fully functioning brain, to realise that this is another electoral LIE. Clearly the state ALP government was told much earlier that they would get this funding from the feds but had to wait until the last weeks of the election campaign before it would be announced.

If Gillard and the state Alp Government really think that the NSW voters will fall for this rubbish just one more time then I am sure that if either government is re-elected, that the public truly do deserve the government that they get.

THAT meeting

Julia gave her pet journalists only a brief and stage-managed look at the meeting between her and Kevvy

It seems that the Prime Minister would have been better off leaving her campaign in the hands of those who put her in the job in the first place rather than claiming that the real Julia will now be running the show from now on because if the last week is any example of just who effective a campaign manager Julia Gillard is, then who could honestly concede that she will be a good Prime Minister for this country?

Her approval rating is low and this last week has shown her up on several levels of incompetency again especially in her decision to convince the still very angry Kevin Rudd into joining her camp.

Rudd is clearly not a well man and this will only go to fuel his disdain for the very person that he felt he could trust to be at his side during this election. Every time we see Rudd on the TV and especially at Julia's side (if he actually does do that, I doubt it!), will so many people simply be reminded of the recent assassination of his place in office and will be reading the body language that even the clever Rudd can not seem to hide.

The other question is just why she would want a failed PM/politician, that the party was forced to remove, at her side let alone the front bench. Reminding the voters of the very disastrous policies that lead to the internal blood bath in the first place? Talk about allowing the enemy within, to attend your garden party! MADNESS!!!

I mean, just who is running the federal Labor Party of Australia? and more importantly, who will be running the party after the election? Is the new Julia or the new Kevin or the faceless king makers in the party room? Too many question marks!

I have been watching the new 24hour NEWS channel that was launched only a few weeks ago on the ABC. That in itself is no coincidence in my opinion. Even the true sceptic or lefty would not deny that the ABC has been for many decades the media cheer squad of the Australian Labor Party and I believe quite unashamedly has co-ordinated the new 24 hour news channel to offer that much more support for Julia or Kevin during this campaign.

If the Abbott Coalition Government is elected then the new 24 hour government support channel may just have to watch itself very carefully because if Abbott is true to his word of cutting public money waste, then I am sure that the channel may be amongst the first of the Rudd/Gillard Big Government bodies to get the axe.

Like they say, a week is a long time in politics and this week has been the longest in Julia Gillard's political life, I wish her many more.

VENGEANCE IS MINE SAITH THE LATHAM!

Revenge is sweet! well it would certainly appear so in the case of previously deposed ALP leader Mark Latham. It's no secret that Latham has a huge disdain for the Australian Labor and his 2005 book "the Latham Diaries",which slams his former colleagues and party was no doubt a masterpiece of vengeful sour grapes.

He did also slam the media in the book, so it seem a little weird that he has now become a member of the main "Lame" stream media as a journalist for Channel Nine.

I recently heard that polling had labelled him as a hated figure by the general public, but I can't really believe that. He brings back to the boring political scene a touch of Keating antics and hard hitting that we all needed to spice things up a bit.

His recent doorstop approach on PM, Julia Gillard..... was a spectacular return to "that handshake" moment that he will always be remembered for during the 2004 Federal election when he virtually manhandled former Liberal PM, John Howard.

I think it stands to reason that Latham would choose the media that he has so publicly berated in the past, as his missile launching platform for the "get even bomb" and really it is the best way to expose both sides of government for all of their failings.

I am glad he can't draw, he would certainly put a few editorial cartoonists out of work with his dry humour and cynical nature. For all of his ideological failings, in my opinion, he is one of the more intelligent writers on the current scene and this is evident in his regular column in the Australian Financial Review, simply brilliant writing and a true insightful understanding of the machinations of politics and in particular, the Labor Party machine.

You would think that a conservative like myself would have no praise for this left wing Whitlam worshipper but it seems to me that he has seen the light on a few levels and let's face it , although he will continue to attack the Liberals on policy, at least he is doing just as good a job on the other side, his former side and all for the right reasons, "Sweet Revenge". I think deep down the man's heart is still breaking, but I won't lose any sleep over it, how about you!?!

Walking with Dinosaurs‏

"Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to science", well isn't that a bit rich coming from this source: An ABC report.

After all, it's the same organisation that is completely leading the cheer squad of some of the most ignorant science-talking people in the world. Yes I am talking about the mad AGW mob.

Nevertheless the results from this study/poll that was done by the Australian Scientific and Technological Societies, as amusing as they may seem to some, are to me very concerning indeed.

I am in my early 40's and I never forgot the lesson that put the myth of cavemen and dinosaurs living on the same plain back in the bull dust box. I think I was about 9 when they taught us that. So you really have to ask, what the hell has gone wrong with the education system?

Is it all going to be blamed on Jurassic Park and video games and vivid imaginations? I hope not. I recall having a just as vivid an imagination as a kid as my children now and I certainly can remember TV movies that had stone age people being chased by Tyrannosaurus Rex etc. Is it the the food kids are eating, is it the lack of traditional family environments? What is it that has made so many Australian so bloody ignorant of basic science and history?

You know the answer don't you? Yep, it's the selective teaching of history and science that has been the silent methodical plan of social editing for the last 30 years. Now as we can see the result of this head messing in basic studies like this.

It's commonly known as "dumbing down" because folks, that's how the Marxists want you and I and most importantly our children to be, thus making us easier to con and be controlled.

There is however one thing that the Marxists of the 60's didn't count on! Thank god for a free and uncensored, unmonitored Internet, is all I can say. At the end of the day, as long as we have it as it is now, they cannot completely program us all.

As for the cartoon, well, there is an example of real dinosaurs walking among us as the Sussex Street Mafia [NSW Labor Party] go about their business of undermining and controlling just what is to be known and what is not to be known about our new Prime Minister, Julia Gillard.

If any more leaks keep flowing as they are from the ALP, then Julia will drown and hopefully Abbott will be victorious so I guess I am on the side of the left for once. If she does drown the Greens will blame it on Global Warming and rising seas. Yep, everyone is happy!

Another Clunker of an Idea

And yet another CLUNKER of an idea from this idea-bereft ALP Government. The Cash for Clunkers scheme is not only another example of a socialist big government nanny telling you what to drive and using your tax dollars to instigate the regulation but also is an obvious way to appease the extreme left arm of the Labor Party, the Greens.

Clearly not convinced by the recent wishy washy Gillard "climate change" policy that was spouted out just a day earlier to this announcement, the Greens and in particular Senator Christine Milne who very vocally upset with Julia about that lack of commitment, will no doubt be slightly amused by the thought of more hybrid cars on the road.

Anyone (and many motoring experts agree) who have looked at this expensive and unproven technology already knows that the hybrid car solution is a complete waste of time and has no real effect on carbon emissions. As if that is a problem anyway!

I agreed, when unleaded fuel was introduced, that removing lead from the air around us is obviously a wise thing to do but to think that the few major cities in Australia are now living under clouds of smog, aka LA or Beijing, is a fanciful thought -- and let's never forget that Julia Gillard has promised us all that she doesn't want a "BIG AUSTRALIA" thus the population in our cites will never reach the levels they are in America, China or Europe.

Apart from the fact that the current city infrastructures could never cope with such an increase in vehicle numbers it seem quite academic to assume that by removing only 200,000 pre 1995 model cars from our nations roads will make a damn bit of difference to any pollution levels at all.

Why is it also assumed that if a car is 15 years old, or older, that it is emitting more pollution than a car that is younger? Is it also not a fact that if a car owner takes personal responsibility for their vehicle and makes sure that servicing and maintenance is regular, then that vehicle should emit no less smoke than it did when new?

This is the nanny state that they want us to accept, to believe that we are not capable of personal responsibility and that the state will run all matters of our life, including in this case, the car that we drive and its age. What next, no more cars for the general population, pushbikes and rickshaws for all?

There is something also incredibly obvious to me and I am sure to you also, and that is that the car dealers will certainly see an opportunity here to capitalise on this rebate by upping the price of these so-called Eco compliant models, when the scheme is introduced.

So if you are looking for one of these Eco buzz boxes and you want to feel warm and fuzzy about your great contribution to mankind by falling for this bit of pork barrelling then you will have to pay extra for it. Come to think of it, if Gillard is reinstated as the Prime Minister, then we will all have to pay for this one in the end.

At this rate many of us won't be able to afford the new car or the E10 petrol that we put in our dirty old one and Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore's destructive 200 kilometres of bike lanes won't look that bad.

Rudd's Big Reward

Well I was far from knocked down with a feather when I heard this not so unexpected news............. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is considering creating a role for Mr Rudd as a top-level adviser on climate change, according to a diplomatic source with knowledge of the plan. In fact it was confirmed that Rudd will take the appointment.

As Gomer Pyle would say " Surprise, surprise". Hasn't this always been this man's true agenda? Why was he spending more time overseas, courting the internationals rather than dealing with domestic issues? Was it because of security issues? clearly not, he often missed National Security meetings.

No Kevin was just networking. That is why Kevin Rudd wanted the platform of PM. Sure, it suited his ego but as a true one-worlder and visionary (for himself ) the office of Prime Minister of Australia would never be enough. K. Rudd's only desire was to end up at the UN table -- and where better to put him but as a top end advisor for climate change. A fictional product made up by himself and many other one-worlders in order to introduce massive Marxist social change and as a way to fund the entire operation with this great taxing false economy.

Sure he looks peed off at the moment, and why wouldn't he be! -- watching his trusted apprentice do a Brutus on her Caesar, and now running naked in his palace. He may even be ready to plan her execution somewhere down the track, just as a get even (which he could very well do). I mean he's playing in the big school now and one day Julie Rulia will have to ask him for a favour (assuming she wins government that is).

Mr Rudd spent several days in New York last week meeting UN officials and in true Ruddy form, wasting tax payer funds on his own personal goals. Not in the best interests of the country or the ALP.

I guess Gillard now, at least has a great excuse for not appointing him to a ministerial portfolio if she is elected PM soon. She can just say, that his UN gig is far too important and he would not have the time to be a Minister..... and that is not only true for Kevin Rudd but also a good thing.

The Labor Party will be given Greens' preferences in most lower house seats, in exchange for Labor giving its preferences to the Greens in the Senate

Clearly Senator Bob Brown was not that sincere with his previous statements about just how much he hated preferential voting deals because now he has grasped this opportunity with both hands because he thinks that he and his loony Green Party are on a winner with the Gillard Government retaining power.

The pay off for him and his party of left wing maniacs is ofcourse nothing more than power in the Senate to get through laws that will legitimise the continuing madness of anthropogenic climate change and the cure to this lie being an Emissions Trading Scheme, that will tax us all back to the stone age.

"This Greens preference deal is probably one of the sleaziest and shonkiest deals," Mr Abbott told Macquarie Radio today. And he is correct. The combined ideology of Bob Brown and Julia Gillard is very sinister indeed and will result in far left, anti christian, anti family and anti Australian sentiment in everything that their government will consider.

The back room deal down between the Reds and the Watermelons needs to be transparent to all voters and the fact that it is not will be warning enough to all voters that this is a very important election and dangerous time in our history.

Seems that the old Richo line of " Whatever it takes" applies to not just the ALP anymore, eh Bob!

The National IQ Test is on again!

Australians will go to the polls on August 21, Prime Minister Julia Gillard has announced

"This election, I believe, presents Australians with a very clear choice," Ms Gillard told reporters in Canberra on Saturday. "This election is about the choice as to whether we move Australia forward or go back."

"Moving Forward"..... so this is the best catch cry/slogan that the incumbent government of Australia could come up with?

I read not so long ago, that the phrase "Moving Forward" was one of the top hated business cliches ever trotted out. So what more does this tell us as voters? It tells me that not only has this government run out of good governance planning and money but that it has also run out of imagination and is trying to sell their Gillard magic elixir and cure-all by spinning the most shallow of phrases -- even worse than "Working Families" -- on the public that they feel will fall for it all again.

She says... "I believe in hard work. I believe in the benefits and dignity of work. I believe in what comes as an individual when you do your best and you earn your keep."

OK then, so what is your policy on generational welfare? you know the social engineering that your old comrade in socialist/marxist revolution, Gough Whitlam, imposed on us all? Will you be tough on the ever growing bludger drain on the economy? of course not! these are the people who always vote ALP and she knows it as we all do.

Trust, what is the PM talking about? Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard have had our trust since 2007 and look at what they have done with that trust. Literally selling the future prosperity of Australia away, Big Government, higher taxes, failed policy after policy, lies, spin, symbolic rhetoric, a 90 billion dollar deficit and counting!....

Please don't talk to us about trust Julia or a fair go because you and your government have had that from Australia for too long and now "it's time" (There's a slogan I thought she may have recycled) for a change back to true fiscal conservatism, true education and tax reform, true health services and border protection, all of which will only come again from a Coalition Conservative Party.

PHOTO FINISH!

New speed cameras to be a bonanza for both the NSW government and the private operators of them?

I was thinking the other week, when I heard about the move to re-establish mobile speed camera traps on New South Wales roads, that just maybe there was some merit in this move and that quite possibly this lame duck ALP government was attempting to at least leave us with one achievement to be proud of and wouldn't saving lives be that! Well that delusion moment was soon crushed when I read this.

Yes, our old mates, those good old clever boys and girls of the capitalist oligarchy, those who will never own or have enough money, had their fingers in this pie too.

What is it with failing Premiers and this group? As soon as there was a sniff that former Premier Bob Carr was on the way out, BANG! The BIG MAC comes to the rescue for Bob. Cynical as I am, I assume there is more to the history of that than we will ever know. Now it appears that business is rushing in for their HUGE slice of this HUGE REVENUE RAISING CASH COW that these mobile cameras will become and again this at the end of another Premier's term.

With all of that said, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised but then the biggest surprise was yet to come.

Did you hear hear an interview (14/07/10) between 2GB's Alan Jones and the NSW opposition leader, and let's face it, most likely the next NSW Premier, Barry O'Farrell? He was asked by Mr Jones if he would abandon this useless concept if he becomes Premier next year. I'll be b*ggered, he didn't commit to it! In fact he said that he will be keeping them and he will use them as the Police see fit.

I know it's a lay down misère that the Liberal Party will win this next NSW state election but surely if you wanted to secure, without doubt, absolute victory, would you not be be dropping this most unpopular policy like a bad joke? Of course you would, so why isn't he?

Has the deal already been done between Government and the Private interested parties, and will committing to breaking such a deal be an enormous litigation risk? Or is it that Barry sees this, as do so many in the private sector and the ALP, as a major provider for the NSW Treasury and a virtual river of gold. Either way, it appears that money in NSW is that addictive, no matter how good a chance you have of winning all in the end anyway.

It wouldn't change my vote but it will be a thorn in the next Premier's side that will eventually have to go.

MY SORRY BOOK

With the election call at any moment now ....

.... PM Gillard's support base is still quite strong and she is still a force for opposition leader, Tony Abbott, to contend with. Although she has a popular appeal to the less politically engaged punters, it wouldn't be too big a stretch that say that her media honeymoon is on the wane, considering recent events.

With the incalculable and inconclusive deal done with the mining magnates on the super profits tax and her so-called answer to the disastrous Rudd border security policy, now dubbed the "Dili Solution" set to be the failure and back flip that it started out as, the shine on this clever politician is fading fast.

Next she promises to attend to the "greatest moral problem of our time", anthropological climate change (non existent, in my humble opinion), that she is convinced is a reality, and she has given us all her rock-solid determination to set a carbon trade price (that's the Emissions Trading Tax again) if elected.

Hmmmmm, if elected? let's see, if we vote for Julia Gillard we will get a mining tax that will go nowhere to settling the massive billions of dollar debt that Kevvie set up for our children, along with a loss of jobs and industry.

We will also get another failed border security policy or the same one that worked when John Howard was PM (as long as it doesn't look the same and doesn't involve the introduction of temporary visa)

And we can also expect a massive rise in the costs of living due to the feel-good tax (ETS) that will be imposed on us all so as not to upset those good folk in the Green Party (who are providing preference votes to the ALP at the election). Seems like a no brainer to me then.......

Hand me the how to vote Liberal Party card please.

More of the Same

in April this year I was reading a piece in the Oz by Political Editor, Dennis Shanahan entitled "Tough stance on boat people all talk" ......

........and it was interesting at the time to think that in November 2007 the clear rhetoric that was coming from the mouth of the then opposition leader, Kevin Rudd, was that he would be tough and that there was no room for unfair and inhumane treatment of these arrivals but that he would continue (in the tradition of John Howard, my words) to send a strong message to the people smugglers that Australia's border are not a soft touch.

Fast forward to today and 4000 asylum seekers and 143 boat arrivals later and we are still hearing the same spin.

PM, Julia Gillard, has jumped from what she believes is a face saving and election winning back flip with regards to the massive new tax on mining (watch that space folks, this is not over yet) to all of a sudden having a solution to the problem that we have faced as a result of her governments border and immigration policies over the last 3 years.

Ms Gillard advises us all now that she will turn back the new arrivals from Afghanistan and prove that she has the balls and the brains that her predecessor obviously lacked. Although up to 60 per cent of Afghan asylum-seekers have had their claims rejected, only two have been returned home since the surge in boat people started in late 2008. More of the same, just more spin over substance,

John Howard's "Pacific Solution", the introduction of exclusion zones and the introduction of temporary protection visas, was a master stoke of border protection and still allowed us to comply with the agreed United Nations Refugee Charter. What it did was simple, if these were genuine refugees and they were suitable to live within our society then they would be accepted (within the UN quota also agreed) and if not then they would be deported without delay.

Now what we have is what Rudd and Gillard introduce to pacify the bleeding heart liberals and doooo gooders, of whom he promised, for a vote, a more human and compassionate approach.

How compassionate is it to send hundreds of men, woman and children to a watery death somewhere in the oceans around Australia after they had just paid some people-trading scum more money than their family earns in a decade (in most cases) for a chance to get to this great Southern Land of Welfare. Where, in this land of second chances, they will, thanks to Rudd and Gillard, be allowed the opportunity to appeal the governments recommendation to deport them (right up to the High Court of Australia), whilst siting back in well maintained, 3 meals a day accommodation, with free Internet and phone along with all the medical benefits bestowed on any Australian citizen and all paid for by you and me.

Meanwhile the legitimate place that should have been for a more suitable and productive immigrant, someone who has worked hard and waited in line, has now gone to that so-called refugee

If the PM was fair dinkum about reversing the disastrous Rudd policy that she so supported, then the first thing she would do is bring back the system that actually worked, and bring it back now before the election, not make it another ALP promise that will be broken.

I cannot see how the PM can kick these people out of the country whilst they still have access to so many avenues of appeal and free legal services. This would require an act of Parliament legislation, which will get passed and although appearing as a back flip, will actually start to send the correct message to the smugglers and their customers.

Alas this will not happen as they are just too proud and too bloody pig headed on staying in power for another 3 years. The song and dance show that Gillard puts on now is just that and haven't we all seen this show before!

No religion please, we're Communist

For anyone who is interested in just what our new government (or is it still the old one?) believes in, one only has to look at the teachings of Marx and Engels. Communism 101 does not support the belief in any religious dogma, God, Allah or whatever you address your spiritual superior by. Rather the STATE is now your main object of worship and obedience.

I thought that all the political pundits were correct when they say that Julia Gillard is a very smart person and never gaffed, ever? Well, I am not so sure about that anymore. The smart thing to have done when the Radio Kremlin (ABC) presenter asked her about her religious beliefs was simply to say "that such issues are of a private nature and I will be keeping to myself my beliefs, agnostic, atheist or otherwise!" And you know, who would have questioned or berated her for saying that? Because that is the right thing to say and Australians in general do like to keep to themselves when it comes to such private matters.

I for one really do not care what beliefs our PM's have outside of their belief in this country and its prosperous future. As long as the present Australian culture, language and borders are protected as well as our constitution and basic freedoms and democracy, then who am I to tell the PM what I think she should do on a Sunday morning?

I am not ashamed to admit that I have a strong faith in the Christian Lord God but I am not the PM. The Prime Minister should have known that this is a question that they shouldn't answer as it creates political fodder and a cause for division in her support base.

So really when we get down to brass tacks, is this a smarter person to be running our country than the previous K Rudd? or is it simply a case of out with the Maoist and in with the Marxist?Either way I still see RED!!!

Executing Necessary Reforms

Well, what a difference a day makes in our nation's capital. To say that this ASSASSINATION of a Prime Minister (even a bad one like Rudd) was bloodless would be like saying that Joseph Stalin never really meant any harm to his Generals who disagreed with his tactics or that Adolf Hitlers 1934 "Night of the Long Knives" was nothing more than a butchers convention.

Anyone who truly believes in the Australian Labor Party as being a party for the people and the workers, can now see just what a bunch of heartless, divided, ruthless, selfish and undeniably disloyal mob it has become.

Many of the political commentariat (red flag wavers most of them) are gloating that this change of leader will secure a victory for the ALP -- as Rudd was just unelectable and a liability. I do agree with the latter comment, Kevin 07 had certainly lost his way and as he was no longer consulting with the factions -- if he ever did? The public were FINALLY seeing the man for what he really is and not what the leftist media had wanted you to believe. He simply should never have been the Australian Prime Minister; he is and will always be just a bureaucrat with an esteem issue.

However I do not agree that Tony Abbott's Conservative Coalition will have a much harder time to win government at the next election just because Rudd is gone and Gillard is now in the big chair. A lot does depend upon timing and, no doubt, Gillard will capitalise on the media "honeymoon period" as they wax lyrical about the obvious fact that she is the first female PM (unelected PM that is) and will harp on about her proud parents and the relatives in Wales, the hair dresser defacto boyfriend etc, pap, etc, pap.

But what they will not want you to think about is that this far left activist of days gone by is now and was a major contributor to all the failed policies that Kevin Rudd is now being put to the sword for and that she will have one hell of a job to please the factions, especially the right of the ALP as well as getting her agenda as PM across the line.

Yes, Julia Gillard probably doesn't want a lot of what Kevvy wanted but will she be able to get her way if she continues to be beholden to the faceless mongrels who power-brokered her way to the top job?

Rudd was certainly a dictator in his party and that is why he is gone but the question is how long will Julia put up with being told that she will toe the factional lines and that she had better not get to pragmatic or even bossy as she will too be looking for a new job.

Richo was correct when he penned his now infamous ALP screed "Whatever it takes" because this incumbent government will do whatever it takes to remain in power and, after all, isn't power what this government is all about!?!

As for Rudd, well "can I just say this": If you live by the sword then you will die by the sword [Matthew 26:52]. Cliche, yes, but in this case most apt.

Should be a very interesting few months for voters. And for cartoonists, this is a dream come true.

CONVICTION TRUMPS RHETORIC EVERY TIME

Many commentators and people in general are asking the question "when is this resources super tax issue going to end?"....and rightfully so.

Well, I am sure that this is a question that Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd and Treasurer, Wayne Swan never really thought that they would be dealing with now, but are asking themselves it on an hourly basis. This new super profits tax, that will destroy any chances that the Howard battlers had of getting ahead, is in my opinion, the nail in the coffin for Rudd's reign in the Lodge.

The arrogance displayed by this pair of "Public Servants" in not consulting privately with the mining industry about this new tax, should not surprise anyone but what should really should start to ring warning bells is the fact that these two actually thought that this would be a popular view with the voters, not affect jobs and that the mining industry would be happy to roll along with the plan. Reckless behaviour and clearly they do not understand the Australian people.

We are also expected to swallow more of Wayne Swan's rubbish when he says, that this process of negotiation with the miners has been according to a series of plans and steps. Too late for me to swallow that one Wayne! -- even though that would have been the correct way to have gone about things. One can not state retrospectively the plan as you wished it would have been as some kind of fact.

The lack of care shown in this approach simply reeks of arrogant foolishness. How can we leave the sovereignty and economy of this great country of ours in the hands of these men and women and this political party for another term?

What is refreshing is that the mining giants didn't run scared of Rudd and Swan and rather stood shoulder to shoulder against the rape of Australia's last and only true performing industry.
Maybe we should think about electing a few of the mining magnates, at least we will have leaders with a backbone.

LIAR, LIAR‏

Who has never told a lie in their life? I would say that the answer to that question is, undoubtably, NOBODY. Even if a man or a woman states truthfully that they have never exaggerated the details or distorted the facts or even told a white lie as an adult, it would be impossible to think that anyone could say that as a child there wasn't an innocent fib or two told by them to avoid a smack on the bottom or a dressing down by Dad or Mum.

Lately there has been a lot said by the Rudd government about Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott's, admission that sometimes public figures will deliver information that may not be accurate in the heat of a debate or question time, instead of appearing as if they do not have a hold of all the information that they are unrealistically expected to know at the drop of a hat.

In fact, it is one of the failings of our political reporters is to believe that any politician is across every detail of any subject asked of them at a doorstop interview. This is why politicians need to take advice from those employed to supply them with the information needed to make the judgements that they need to govern wisely. This has always been the case in any functioning system.

It is however not as easy to forgive a politician who hasn't just forgotten a portfolio detail than when that politician has consciously told a untruth to obtain personal gain. In the case of our current Prime Minister, here we have a man who is beyond telling the odd unconfirmed fact so as to not look stupid but rather spouts deliberate porky pies as a matter of course.

This folks is known as "Pathological Deception". I believe that Kevin Rudd is not only lying to us all but he is also deluding and lying to himself on a daily basis. I believe that the ultimate power that he has managed to obtain through deception has driven him to subconsciously believe that he is in no way doing wrong.

NASTY GROWTH REMOVED‏

Well, finally something to celebrate this week. Malcolm Fraser has left the Australian Liberal Party and all I can say is....."when was he a true member anyway ?".

Clearly this terrible politician and failed former Australian Prime Minister was so far to the left that he could have founded the current Greens Party or at least joined the Australian Labor Party to be amongst other leftist softies, with no compromise to his ideology. Malcolm Fraser held no regard for Menzies' conservative values and vision for the Liberal Party. In fact, I am sure that the actual reason Malcolm Fraser joined the Liberal Party was because he thought it started with a small L.

During his term, 1975 to 1983, this man did NOTHING of value for the country, in fact, it is widely recognised that he probably did more damage and wasted more opportunity for economic growth than his predecessor Gough Whitlam. What this snivelling bleeding heart did, was to open our borders to some of the worst type of refugees and embrace such people as the despot and murderer, Robert Mugabe and Pol Pot and even Mao Tse-Tung, a communist Chinese leader who is credited for being directly responsible for the deaths of 20 million people...... but I am sure Malcolm would just call me a racist and tell me that I should always try to see the good in people.

I actually know of diehard Conservative voters who voted in Fraser's successor, Robert Hawke, rather than vote for this leftist stooge again. So, to the crying, pants losing (and we never found out just what that was about, did we?) Goodbye and good riddance and thanks for nothing!

THE ENEMY WITHIN

To think that the answer to reducing the MASSIVE debt that the Rudd Government has delivered to the Australian taxpayer, is to greedily tax the only Australian owned industry that is actually making money for mum and dad investors and just about anyone how has a superannuation scheme, is as mental an idea as raising the price of cigarettes to stop smokers smoking and compensating cigarette manufacturers for defacing their product branding.

This socialist government is definitely clutching at straws now if they think that the Australian public will believe that it is the mining magnates that need to be punished and forced to pay this tax, whilst billions of dollars have and continue to be wasted in nowhere failed schemes like national home insulation, laptops for every student and the building the education revolution scam.

Is it any wonder that Rudd is getting his true reward of disapproval and distrust in the polls, when you consider that self-funded retirees and anyone with blue chip investments will suffer from this money grab on the mining industry. Eventually this will all filter down to every consumer and once again the price of living will rise that much higher, if it wasn't high enough already.

Deputy Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, is being groomed by the media sycophants as the next to take the top job and sure she's a woman and is very intelligent etc, etc but that is window dressing until we have a good look at her radical and hard left life history and her list of communist/Marxist heroes of the Labor movement. This woman is the Red in "the reds under the bed".

Our bumbling Treasurer, Wayne Swan, is clearly out of his depth in this budget and if he thinks the mining heavies will be pushovers like his State Labor Premier counterparts then he will get a rude awakening -- as Rudd is now finding. Even the Ruddite mates in China are feeling very nervous about this tax as they can see no other way to combat this attempt to burst their blooming fiscal bubble than to pass on the price hike to their customers. Ever check where most of your electronic and clothing items are now coming from, eh?!?

What will it finally take for Australians to wake up and see that their way of life and their children's inheritance, is being sold off for a song to the Communist ideology of a One World Marxist New Order and that the leaders of this movement are not the Labor Party of old but rather the new regime of Rudd, Gillard, Tanner and Swan?

Yet another shallow SMOKE screen

As we sit here on the eve of what we all know will be new set of higher taxes in the form of something called the HENRY REVIEW, then who would be surprised to find out that Prime Minister Kevin Rudd wants to save all the smokers lives by pricing this addictive LEGAL product out of their reach.

Yesterday in yet another lame attempt to divert public attention from his very embarrassing back flip on his all important Emissions Trading Scheme, Rudd has given the green light to tobacco retailers to put up the average price of a pack of smokes by as much as twenty five percent.

Not to mention the ever growing booze tax hikes, yet another success story in the battle to stop people from drinking to excess!?!

To add insult to injury he, Rudd, then has the gall to state that this tax hike is to provide for the 5 billion dollar BRIBE that he needs for the states to roll over and allow the federal overlords to take not only control of the health system but also swipe a third of the GST revenue that the states need to make any improvements possible.

Granted the current state governments couldn't before and cannot now fix this basket case of a public health service, which leads to another question for the delusional PM: "How the hell does Rudd plan to make such miraculous reforms work?" I have yet to see any actual working plan.

Cynically, and I believe justifiably, Rudd is bluffing and pandering and showboating again and once again is displaying that he has so much contempt for the Australian public that he believes that we will continue to follow his Pied Piper's attempt to lead us over the cliff of a socialist new order.

All that this empty-suited socialist has done in the last 24 hours is to force millions of smokers to go out last night and stockpile as many smokes as they could afford to buy. One in a thousand may use the price rise as a leverage to quit but the reality is that this will do nothing more than further alienate Rudd from his traditional base, the working class family. And if the memories are strong and long enough to last until the next federal election, which I predict will be sometime around late June early July, then Rudd may have just done the Conservative opposition the biggest favour this country could ever ask.

Still it is tough if you smoke, because now the extra money that you needed for your private health care or your kids' education or just the basics of life is no longer there because the addiction to nicotine is comparable to an addiction to heroin: thus the smokes will always take priority. How can this man get dressed in the morning? He truly hasn't thought about any of this!

"GIVE ME A HARD HAT, MY POLLS ARE DOWN"

Being interviewed while wearing a hard had seems to be the latest Leftist idea. They seem to think it makes them look more active or something. As even a Leftist commentator said recently: "Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard and Kristina Keneally are also serial hard-hat offenders"

I would say that you would be hard up to find any sensible adult in this country, who would not agree that health reform is certainly now an issue worth discussing and worth investing in. What the general public do know about our failing health system, would fill a library but what the answers are to creating a successful and efficient national health system are as varied as the the problem itself. At least this issue is now at the surface of discussion and is apparently at the top of our Prime Ministers list of priorities ............. THIS WEEK !

Just like the many election promises that K Rudd made in 2007, this too is but another grab for the popular spotlight that got this empty suited man of charisma elected and a way to divert our attention from the seamless line of policy disasters since he moved into the Lodge.

Just like Benito Mussolini in 1939, Kevin Rudd is all about talk and hairy chested rhetoric yet can not back up anything that he says with actually accountable figures or even a clear and decisive plan.

Just to remind you of some the many failures of the Rudd regime, I will start with the pathetic "SORRY" statement and the so called reconciliation that was to heal all the pain and inequality suffered by the original inhabitants of this prehistoric land, right up the the "stolen generations" and the cruel white mans way of assimilating these godless children into white man's Australia.......

Yet, it is clear that nothing but left wing bleeding hearts and soft headed dreamers were the only ones who were truly appeased by that stunt. Really I don't know why he bothered as these naval gazing, hanky wringers always vote Labor anyway.

Then we move to "the greatest moral challenge of our time", (Rudd's words not mine),Global Warming/Anthropogenic climate change. Well, where do you start? Nowhere, because the lie that is the greatest hoax and mass global scam perpetrated on the West ever, still leads us to Kevin Rudd once again jumping up and down saying "look at me. look at me, I'm the Piped Piper from Queensland" to all of his fellow one worlder socialist mates in the UN; I'm taking Australia to Copenhagen and I will be the one to leads us out of global disaster............

Yeah Kev!?!, that was another enormous load of crap that resulted and would always have resulted in nothing less that an expensive junket for you and your sycophants.

Now that his credibility was even more on the line and even ALP voters were starting to look skyward when they heard "Who voted for this clown?", Kevin needed to get back into favour with the punters and start to address some of those policy on the run promises that he made back in 2007.

The "working families" need help now and what better way but to introduce , "Fuel watch" and "Grocery watch" and announce that his government will build hundreds of child care centres to take pressure of struggling the Howard battlers. Yet again more failed policy that resulted in nothing and about a dozen child care centres actually built. This was again another waste of our money.

Still Kevin just cannot stop (I kind of admire that in him) so it's on to the great Home Insulation Scheme, this will employ thousands and ensure a better quality of home comfort as well as reducing energy use so as to stop those evil black clouds of carbon dioxide from killing us all and to keep the Green support alive and well, aka giving the dog a bone.

Of course Kevin 07 is too busy to actually nut out the details of this one himself, after all he has a reputation of being the most travelled Aussie PM ever and he wouldn't want to waste a frequent flyer point, so he passes it to his parachuted rock star, sell-out minister, Peter Garrett, who completely ignores the industry's expert advice and as a result causes death and destruction and causing him to lose his job.

Rudd then cancels the scheme and still has the bottle to offer the Australian taxpayer a multi-million dollar bill to fix up the dangerous insulation's caused by the rorters that he created along with the damaged reputations and lost income for hundreds of reputable insulation installers.

Ooooppps Kevin, quickly, roll out Julia Gillard and lets start spruiking the great Building the Education Revolution. Lets get those laptops on every kid's desk and spend millions fixing up the run-down schools. Alas and yet again not a laptop to be seen and a festival of rorts and errors that has turned this B.E.R into the Big Education RIP OFF.

Oh no Kevin, Rove doesn't want you on his show anymore and now your falling in popularity polls, what will you do to save your skin?..............

I've got it!, let's take away all the GST money that we give the states (after all we need some money to pay back our 300 billion dollar debt to China after giving everyone a $900 bribe) to run the stuffed up public health systems and blame the states (doesn't matter if they are ALP, they are unelectable anyway, and then it will look like you have kept one election promise.

Remember, cut the emergency waiting time down to 4 hours. Then every one will say, "hey I don't need to pay for my own health care , I'll just go onto the public system and I will be happy to wait only 4 hours."

Until of course it is realised that everyone will do that thus tripling demand for public health overnight and turning a basket case of bureaucratic heavy incompetence into a third world system that any one from Afghanistan or Sri Lanka will be happy to use, after all, with the borders now open to one and all, these folk will need to feel right at home.

But seriously folks.......that was serious by the way. Health reform is not about money, health reform is about changing the habits of people who seem to think that they can do what ever they like to their bodies because the government will always look after them. At the moment that is why we cannot offer a decent and effective health system.

Not a word from Kevin Rudd about mental health (a much larger issue I am sure) or even dental health and just teaching folk the importance of maintaining wellness.

As long as the PM has a camera in his face and a sympathetic and supportive media to help spin his pandering and misguided untruths, then you can always expect to see a little man in a hard hat and a reflective vest sitting at the end of your hospital bed, promising the world ......... if you get a bed that is!

EVEN WORSE THAN GOUGH‏

Gough Whitlam (Still alive in his 90s) was a Labor Party Prime Minister of Australia in the '70s who knew lots about most things -- but (by his own admission) nothing about economics. His chief achievement was to overspend on madcap schemes to the point of giving Australia 19% inflation.

With all the issues at hand and in this, an election year, one would think that the Federal Coalition Party would have little to do but sit back and wait.

With Rudd's GST blackmail of the states and his complete unabashed bribery of the voter, with borrowed CHINESE money! On top of all of the broken promises, untruths, pandering, rhetoric and just downright irresponsibility when it comes to border protection and the economy, how then can this man, Rudd, and his government expect to maintain their place in power?

Once again we seem to witness history repeating itself -- and who would have thought that the 1972 Whitlam Government could have ever have been surpassed for socialist big government policy and incompetence and yet still hold such high popularity with the average punter?

Today, Gough Whitlam is being referred to as a living legend, even after he was rightly dismissed by the Governor General, Sir John Kerr, back in 1975. The first and, to date, only Australian Prime Minister to be FIRED!!!

Alas, I can foresee that this present PM will also be held in high regard in years to come. Like Ned Kelly and Chopper Read, we Aussies seem to love our villains.

This is in my mind the most troubling symptom of a populace that has become disillusioned by a string of corrupt and inept state and federal politicians and made brain dead by an over sycophantic leftist media -- along with decades of Socialist/Marxist engineering by those who would have you believe that what is happening in the Big Brother House and on the footy field is FAR more important and relevant to you and your children's lives than the high-taxing big government and the slow decay of your culture.

The very freedom and democracy and culture for which your grandparents and generations before, spilt blood, sweat and tears to build and maintain will be nothing less than a notation of events in the rewritten history books of our great grand children.

This is just what the one-worlders have been planning for ages -- and with the tool of "Political Correctness" we have given Rudd and his minions the green light to piss away our children's rightful inheritance whilst he and his ilk will sit high at the table of true power, THE NEW UNITED NATIONS!

China sends a message, and we tremble and obey

Greg Sheridan, columnist with "The Australian" newspaper has written a perfectly accurate account of the disgraceful treatment of an Australian citizen, Stern Hu, by the Chinese Communist Government in the OZ today.

His points about the cowardly way that our present Federal Government has abandoned the civil rights of Stern Hu, an Australian and now convicted criminal in the Communist Chinese prison system, are spot on in my opinion.

Forced to confess to a crime that he may or MAY NOT have committed, Mr Stern now has little or no chance of being released any time soon. All this happening whilst our Sinophile PM has just struck up a 60 billion dollar deal to provide our new overlords with all the liquefied natural gas (LNG) that they need to further their Communist ambitions.

Without Australia and it cache of natural resources, the sleeping bear in the north has little more than an impressive army to threaten us. I am sure that there would be no attack on our mainland if Rudd decided to hold off on feeding the great red-eyed panda just because it wants to push the "customer is always right" line.

After all, does the United States of America not have a vested interest in our country also? Along with a long and traditional brotherhood and common belief system and culture, not to mention the strategic value of our geography, you'd better bet that they do!!!!

Some would call me naive to think that the USA would come to our help if we were attacked. Well, to them I say that they are naive to think that China would attack Australia with the knowledge that the United States is and has always been or greatest ally and would under any Presidency be hard pushed to allow a communist country to invade or democratic sovereignty without response. It would simply be political suicide for an administration. The American people would be find a way to convince the President that a war in Iraq or Afghanistan is now no longer as important as a war on Australia.

So with that said, what is with our PM? Why is he so scared of the Chinese Government? I believe he is not; I believe he is in fact a very sympathetic and good friend of this communist regime and is very interested in their final agenda and to hell with one Australian that they have in their prisons, and to hell with Australia's resources. I believe the price that the LNG was sold at, was way to low and as a result he is doing his Maoist mates a favour, so to hell with Australia also.

Sorry Stern, guilty or not mate, you're stuffed and you can thank one man for it.

Just look at the body language displayed by the man towards two ALP Premiers, Anna Bligh and Kristina Keneally, and then tell me that he is not treating our Premier and our state and frankly all of us with absolute CONTEMPT!

Does this man really deserve our trust anymore, in this an election year!

Cricket gravely needs better governance

Does John Howard really want selection as head of the dubious International Cricket Council? asks Gideon Haigh

Shortly after leaving the White House, Calvin Coolidge had to complete an application form for the National Press Club. Under the heading ‘occupation’, he scribbled: ‘Retired’. Faced with the heading ‘remarks’, he paused, reflected, and finally wrote: ‘Glad of it.’

Not every politician is so sanguine. Limelight deprivation syndrome is common. Which is not to say that the emergence of John Howard as a candidate for president of the International Cricket Council is so motivated. An alert observer might have detected a continuation of the parallels between Howard and his political inspiration Sir Robert Menzies, one of whose retirement roles was also in cricket administration, as president of the Kent County Cricket Club - a position he assumed while Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, and which probably engaged him rather more.

But the assertion is open, and indeed was hastily made. ‘For many years the W. G. Grace of Australian politics, a man never willing to declare, Howard is perfectly suited to life after politics as a cricket administrator,’ said one of Howard’s former political antagonists, Mark Latham, in a newspaper column as sparkling and insightful as this concluding line. For what Latham is suited, meanwhile, is a question not only unanswered, but of negligible interest. He is the Jason Krejza of Australian politics: a brief glorious flourish, a protracted subsidence into oblivion.

Which is a pity. Cricket’s governance deserves better - which is Cricket Australia ’s objective in promoting Howard. Since the ICC was overhauled thirteen years ago and the office of president created, it has been filled by a collection of characters as dubious as the police line-up in The Usual Suspects. The in-coming president, whom Howard would succeed, is a senior Indian politician with a chequered past. Previously, the president was an abusive drunk from South Africa who luckily died half-way through his term. A leading candidate for the top job until recently was a Sri Lankan bookmaker and political king-maker once prosecuted for issuing a forged passport to a crime boss who was then conveniently shot.

The ICC’s reputation for management of the game, meanwhile, is not so much in the toilet as right around the bend. Self-marginalised by relocation to Dubai for tax reasons in August 2005, it specialises in ineffectual announcements and muddled compromises – which rather suits the boards of control constituting it, jealous of their sovereignty as they are.

Howard has to get there first too. The system – like almost everything to do with the ICC – is convoluted. Best man for the job? Too easy. The ICC presidency is filled every two years by a new representative from the ten Test-playing nations, which are for this purpose divided into five regions, one of which Australia shares with New Zealand; nominees serve first as vice-president, then as president.

When New Zealand Cricket wrote to Cricket Australia last September about their candidate, it assumed that no objection would be taken to a New Zealander, Australia having taken precedence at the countries’ last turn. NZC was further fortified in its view by its promotion of Sir John Anderson, a career banker who now chairs the board of TVNZ - as respected a name as exists in the game’s traditional governance circles.

Anderson ’s cricket credentials are almost as extensive as his commercial qualifications. A quality first-grade all-rounder in Wellington , he had his first experience of administration there when he bailed his Karori Cricket Club out of a deep financial hole in the mid-1970s. He later oversaw reforms of the Wellington Cricket Association, presided over the liquidation of New Zealand ’s old board of control and its replacement with a full-fledged board of directors fifteen years ago, then engineered a new constitution for the ICC when the old one had led to a deadlock over leadership between India and Australia in 1996. Of a superior curriculum vitae for the job at issue, it is hard to conceive.

Cricket Australia’s argument is to agree that Anderson’s credentials suit the job perfectly – but the job as it is now, rather than as it needs to be. As across every contemporary cricket issue falls the shadow of the Board of Control for Cricket in India , both the ICC’s biggest member, and its greatest rival. The BCCI accounts for about three-quarters of global cricket revenues, but its supranational Twenty20 competititions, the Indian Premier League and Champions League, are outside the ICC’s jurisdiction, being ostensibly ‘domestic’ tournaments. In doing so, India ’s board exerts de facto control over what looms as cricket’s most lucrative future format.

The BCCI is a sporting administration, but it is also, increasingly, a political organization. More than two-thirds of its constituent state associations are led by local chief ministers or their proxies. The BCCI’s Sharad Pawar, who will become president of the ICC in July, is a classic example of a politician harnessing cricket for his power broking ends. After splitting from the Congress Party ten years ago in protest at the ascendancy of Sonia Gandhi, the ‘King of Maharastra’ strengthened the support base of his new minority party by ousting former Indian captain Ajit Wadekar as chairman of the Mumbai Cricket Association in 2001, then levering out businessman Jagmohan Dalmiya as boss of the BCCI. It’s paid off: despite a scandal-strewn past, he remains agriculture minister in Manmohan Singh’s cabinet.

Because little happens at the ICC without the BCCI’s explicit say-so, international cricket has become a hostage to a range of Indian political and commercial fortunes. In this context, CA, whose board includes former Howard minister Ian McLachlan and former Labor premier John Bannon, regard Howard’s political acumen and experience as invaluable. A selection committee has been constituted: former NZC chief executive Chris Doig, current NZC chairman Alan Isaac and CA directors Geoff Tamblyn and Wally Edwards, with the respective chief executives Justin Vaughan and James Sutherland present as non-voting observers.

Several layers of risk remain. CA’s stance smacks in New Zealand, as one former administrator puts it, of ‘typical Australian bullying’. There is also considerable distrust of the selection committee’s chairman, Rod Eddington. Infrastructure Australia ’s ubiquitous chief is remembered across the Tasman as erstwhile chairman of Ansett, whose subsequent collapse prostrated Air New Zealand . The committee’s representatives did not budge after interviews of Anderson and Howard in New Zealand on 28 January, and if no resolution is reached can leave the ICC to split the candidates, but if this would hardly be a dignified solution.

In the meantime, unwanted attention on Howard’s candidacy also has the potential to affect CA’s relations with Canberra. It’s a fair question whether the right time to be cosying up to a successful conservative prime minister is while also negotiating with a surly Labor communications minister for removal of one’s sport from the anti-siphoning list. Yet it’s Howard who seems to be courting the gravest risk. Even if his name did go forward, he would not assume his mantle until July 2012, by which time, on present trends, presidency of ICC will be less influential than presidency of the Kent County Cricket Club. Life as a retired politician might then look, as it did to Coolidge, pretty damn attractive.

All in the name of economic progress and power!‏

Media report: Garrett 'knew of insulation death risk for months'

When the senate investigations committee authorised this ill-conceived economic "stimulus" policy of installing millions of homes in the country with insulation batts and foil, my information is that the Minister in charge, Peter Garrett, had been warned up to 13 times: that this legislation would be fraught with danger and the possibility of encouraging dishonest operators. The established professionals in the insulation industry were obviously ignored as they were more than likely seen by the government as having a self-preservation agenda, that is, not wanting to allow back-yard operations to spring up overnight and take their business.

The installation of quality and safe commercial and domestic insulation is not a business that can be guaranteed as being done correctly by anyone less than a seasoned professional -- and as a result, fires have occurred, dumping of discarded material in suburbs and bushlands and unfortunately to date, the death of four young inexperienced installers.

To say that Minister Garrett is directly responsible would be a very unfair assessment but it was within his power to assure that all the correct regulations about training were followed without fail and that opportunists did not exploit the cash cow that the government was offering. I believe there have been no less than 300 of these operators shut down since the scheme started in June last year and if this isn't a clear indication that the correct model of regulation, approval and monitoring of these installers was not carried out correctly by the departments concerned, then I don't know what is.

The loss of life is absolutely the most regrettable result of this mismanaged policy and to be fair again to Minister Garrett and Prime minister Rudd, they would of course have done things differently in hindsight.

Peter Garrett is no doubt now understanding the reality that there is far more to successful politics than chest beating and following one's own agenda. He should resign immediately and Rudd should be asking for that resignation today. Alas, I see no such honour and admission of error coming from either man as they continue to push this failed experiment and whistle past the cemetery. This is just another example of unprepared and ill-conceived policy on the run by this Federal Labor Government.

Garrett should pull out and put on the old "SHAME" t-shirt and Rudd should sit next to him with his "SORRY" one on.

Isn't it refreshing to see that after the great con job sell in 2007, that it has taken only 3 years for the general Australian public to finally wake up to the the relentless spin and bulldust sale that is Kevin Rudd and his Labor Government.

The entire anthropogenic climate change scare is now completely exposed and still this socialist-driven agenda politician and his minions continue to think that the majority of Australians are that dumbed down, that they will still accept the greatest Ponzi scheme the world has ever seen.

The problem is that we have allowed this assassin of our constitution to sign away yours, mine and our children's inheritance, in the form of the Kyoto agreement and at the risk of a sovereign nation being fiscally punished by the great overlords of the "UNITED NATIONS">

The opposition leader and hopefully next PM, Tony Abbott, has had to come up with a way of reduce carbon emissions without destroying the economy and our very way of life. He has of course been able to do that and still the Labour faithful and Green sycophants continue to berate the only chance for this country to be saved from decades of economic ruin.

The Australian way of life for our children and theirs, depends on Tony Abbott's success in the up and coming federal election but this will only be realised when the majority of Aussie voters put down the beer can, switch off the "Biggest Loser and Survivor Samoa" and wake up to the fact that the ALP of the past is gone and this new league of Socialist/Marxist/Communist criminals are about to take all of your freedom and your rights to be apathetic and lazy, away!

This is the time for the "COOEE" call that helped us to unite as a nation against previous tyrants. Let's hope that the call will not be ignored or inaudible by the deafening drums of Penny Wong and Peter Garrett and the leftist media cheer squad, who held the Rudd banner so high, for too long.

Premier Kristina Keneally has just announced that the spending will stop as they now pause to decide whether or not to go ahead with this city metro rail project.

WHAT THE? ....Sorry Premier but YOUR government, in which you were a Minister for Planning, has now decided a year out from the State Election, to listen to the people and stop this madness that has already cost us, the NSW taxpayer, hundreds of millions of dollars because you think this project may not be viable? It's too little too late!!!

My disbelief is only counterpoint to my surprise that this arrogant and irresponsible ALP State Government has not deemed once to learn a damn thing from the last two public/private projects, the failed Cross City and Lane Cove Tunnels which have gone from the "800 pound Gorillas" in the corner to becoming some of the most expensive "White Elephants" in our State's history.

Gorillas and Elephants? Well I guess if the voters of NSW wanted a zoo when they re-elected this rabble the last time, then they shouldn't be surprised or disappointed.

Meanwhile the Kings' Dean School for special needs children goes unfunded and will certainly close down because of these "necessary" cutbacks. Necessary indeed, more like: "We spent all of our money and now we are broke". And it is because of this government's inability to listen carefully and evaluate the priority needs of its people, its inert greed, anarchical bureaucracy and downright inability to run a state treasury.

To think we actually have to wait for an election in 2011 to remove these money wasting fools, is just another travesty.

Knowledge is Power‏

I suspect this cartoon may soon end up on a few dart boards throughout the many teachers' staff rooms in the state of N.S.W. ...boy!, I hope so. I don't say that flippantly either, because I am very concerned about the standards of teachers and teaching methods and curriculum in all of our schools. I have a few friends who are teachers. In fact one of my best friends is a teacher in a western Sydney Public High School and I am sure he will pull his hair out and curse me when he sees this, as he and I have very different ideological views about the state of our Public and Private education systems. Nevertheless, he is a friend and we can always agree to disagree.

With that said, I will pose this question. Can we, as a responsible society, that has for so long taken for granted our very hard-fought and won freedom, allow that freedom to be eroded over time by radical socialist movements? You see, freedom cannot exist when information (not of a national security nature) is being withheld from the public by the government, information that would simply provide the public, in this case parents or guardians with school age children, the choices that they need to make in order to secure the best possible education outcome for their children.

Bur we see here that teachers are resisting that. They don't want parents to be able to evaluate schools on the basis of their exam results.

Some use the independent system (like me) and the transparency of performances is obviously clear when you are shopping around for a school that has a high academic result for its students. This information is actually available on a state to state public school level of academic achievement yet to my knowledge you still cannot tell if the particular school, classes or even the teacher are performing a a satisfactory level and thus can be trusted to EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN!

I have heard the argument from the other side of this debate and I can not see any legitimate concern other than there are teachers who feel that they are above performance rating. Naturally this is the reason for the current NAPLAN boycott. Just about every workplace has some kind of testing and assessing criteria that sorts out the wheat from the chaff. Here too and especially with the important role that educators have in the lives of children and young adults, there must be a form of accountability and I would also say reward for genuine excellence.

The current system of "education revolution" is continuing to turn so far to the left that it will not be long when have mandatory carrying of Mao's Little Red Book.....or is that already happening?

This is a state issue really and the NSW Teachers Federation Union is actually taking on Julia Gillard (Federal Minister for Education and everything else). It seems it may be payback time for this union, considering the enormous amount of support that it provided the Federal ALP during the 2007 Federal election.

I would say that Gillard would be leaning to support her traditional comrades but it is very close to the next election and this is a Labor Heartland issue. If she is sniffing the political wind correctly, as I believe she is, then she will certainly be between and rock and a hard place.

Trust ends at the door folks. I trust my Mum and certainly family members and close friends, everyone else needs to prove their worth or worthlessness, otherwise I don't want to know you or put my children's lives in your hands.

Now if they had polled us all and asked the same question, I would have bet a million dollars that the answer would have been very different. Maybe it would look like it currently does if they had asked if we preferred Premier Kristina Keneally to say, Bob Carr or Morris Iemma or Nathan Rees or even Al Capone? Sure, then I would say that she is much more likable a person than those options but who out of these people polled, actually know enough about the current Premier of the Opposition Leader, Barry Ofarrell, to truly say that they are likable people?

I for one have met Mr O'Farrell and found from that meeting that he was a likable man. I am sure from TV and Photo Ops that I have seen from our very NEW Premier, that she probably is too. That brings me to my point,....SO WHAT !!!!

Who really cares how likable a leader is!?! Have the great leaders in history all been likable and good-looking folk? of course not. Most were not that good-looking at all and as to their likability, well that's a matter of further historical examination and always a matter of personal preference.

Isn't there a question that the "useful idiots" in the left bias mainstream media, are not asking us? Shouldn't that question simply be "Who is capable of turning over 14 years of the HARD LABOR that New South Wales has had to endure, voluntarily, I might add, and returning the state into the Jewel in the Crown that it once was?" No they won't say it, because it's all about personality and Charisma now,supporting the ideology and nothing to do with policy reform.

I will shoot the next person who confidently says, "But the Libs have no policy"... Moron, go to their website, it is chocka block with policy. There is just no point selling policy out loud, so far out from the next election. Like the empty suit sellout once sang "Short memories must have a".

We are so conditioned to everything being a competition or a bloody reality show that our political leaders and the media play on this brain drain to the point now that such a poll actually holds importance to many people. People actually vote for who they think looks or sounds the best. So keep sitting in front the idiot box folks and pretty soon you may think that I am beautiful enough to be our next PM!

VICTORY TO PETER SPENCER‏

"VICTORY IS MINE"! Can't you just hear our pompous PM Rudd, shouting that out loud from whatever airport lounge he his in today, when he heard today that one of Australia's most desperate and deserving men, Peter Spencer, had decided today to end his 52 day hunger strike. Obviously Peter Spencer has decided through much convincing from his family, friends and supporters, that it was better to go on living and to continue the fight against this outrageous Native Vegetation Act, that is literally stealing peoples property than to be a martyr for the cause.

Already Peter's near death protest has brought more attention, both here and internationally, to this issue that any amount of court hearings and appeals could ever have done. If you are not aware of this mans fight for the right that we have always taken for granted in this country then you probably vote Kevin Rudd back in 2007 and will do so in 2010.

I am sure that many who did vote for this socialist criminal will however be adding his complete and utter inaction along with Premier Kenneally's lack of intervention to their now long lists of just why they should actually think hard about where this country is going and who they should trust with our future, come the next federal and state elections.

Bravo Peter Spencer, you are a hero of the people and full kudos goes to your and your family and the army of supporters. Your dedication and bravery has awoken the ever apathetic nation that Australia has become, thanks to decades of social engineering by the Marxists and useful idiots of the left.

Climate change: proposed personal briefing

Your speech on 6 November 2009 to the Lowy Institute, in which you publicly expressed some concern at my approach to the climate question, has prompted several leading Australian citizens to invite me come on tour to explain myself in a series of lectures in Australia later this month. I am writing to offer personal briefings on why “global warming” is a non-problem to you and other party leaders during my visit. For convenience, I am copying this letter to them, and to the Press.

Your speech mentioned my remarks about the proposal for world “government” in the early drafts of what had been intended as a binding Copenhagen Treaty. These proposals were not, as you suggested, a “conspiracy theory” from the “far right” with “zero basis in evidence”. Your staff will find them in paragraphs 36-38 of the main text of Annex 1 to the 15 September draft of the Treaty. The word “government” appears twice at paragraph 38. After much adverse publicity in democratic countries, including Australia, the proposals were reluctantly dropped before Copenhagen.

You say I am one of “those who argue that any multilateral action is by definition evil”. On the contrary: my first question is whether any action at all is required, to which – as I shall demonstrate – the objective economic and scientific answer is No. Even if multilateral action were required, which it is not, national governments in the West are by tradition democratically elected. Therefore, a fortiori, transnational or global governments should also be made and unmade by voters at the ballot-box. The climate ought not to be used as a shoddy pretext for international bureaucratic-centralist dictatorship. We committed Europeans have had more than enough of that already with the unelected but all-powerful Kommissars of the hated EU, who make nine-tenths of our laws by decree (revealingly, they call them “Directives” or “Commission Regulations”). The Kommissars (that is the official German word for them) inflict their dictates upon us regardless of what the elected European or any other democratic Parliament says or wishes. Do we want a worldwide EU? No.

You say I am one of “those who argue that climate change does not represent a global market failure”. Yet it is only recently that opinion sufficient to constitute a market signal became apparent in the documents of the IPCC, which is, however, a political rather than a scientific entity. There has scarcely been time for a “market failure”. Besides, corporations are falling over themselves to cash in on the giant financial fraud against the little guy that carbon taxation and trading have already become in the goody-two-shoes EU – and will become in Australia if you get your way.

You say I was one of “those who argue that somehow the market will magically solve the problem”. In fact I have never argued that, though in general the market is better at solving problems than the habitual but repeatedly-failed dirigisme of the etatistes predominant in the classe politique today.

The questions I address are a) whether there is a climate problem at all; and b) even if there is one, and even if per impossibile it is of the hilariously-overblown magnitude imagined by the IPCC, whether waiting and adapting as and if necessary is more cost-effective than attempting to mitigate the supposed problem by trying to reduce the carbon dioxide our industries and enterprises emit.

Let us pretend, solum ad argumentum, that a given proportionate increase in CO2 concentration causes the maximum warming imagined by the IPCC. The IPCC’s bureaucrats are careful not to derive a function that will convert changes in CO2 concentration directly to equilibrium changes in temperature. I shall do it for them.

We derive the necessary implicit function from the IPCC’s statement to the effect that equilibrium surface warming ΔT at CO2 doubling will be (3.26 ± ln 2) C°. Since the IPCC, in compliance with Beer’s Law, defines the radiative forcing effect of CO2 as logarithmic rather than linear, our implicit function can be derived at once. The coefficient is the predicted warming at CO2 doubling divided by the logarithm of 2, and the term (C/C0) is the proportionate increase in CO2 concentration. Thus,

ΔT = (4.7 ± 1) ln(C/C0) | Celsius degrees

We are looking at the IPCC’s maximum imagined warming rate, so we simply write –

ΔT = 5.7 ln(C/C0) | Celsius degrees

Armed with this function telling us the maximum equilibrium warming that the IPCC predicts from any given change in CO2 concentration, we can now determine, robustly, the maximum equilibrium warming that is likely to be forestalled by any proposed cut in the current upward path of CO2 emissions. Let me demonstrate.

By the end of this month, according to the Copenhagen Accord, all parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change are due to report what cuts in emissions they will make by 2020. Broadly speaking, the Annex 1 parties, who will account for about half of global emissions over the period, will commit to reducing current emissions by 30% by 2020, or 15% on average in the decade between now and 2020.

Thus, if and only if every Annex 1 party to the Copenhagen Accord complies with its obligations to the full, today’s emissions will be reduced by around half of that 15%, namely 7.5%, compared with business as usual. If the trend of the past decade continues, with business as usual we shall add 2 ppmv/year, or 20 ppmv over the decade, to atmospheric CO2 concentration. Now, 7.5% of 20 ppmv is 1.5 ppmv.

We determine the warming forestalled over the coming decade by comparing the business-as-usual warming that would occur between now and 2020 if we made no cuts in CO2 emissions with the lesser warming that would follow full compliance with the Copenhagen Accord. Where today’s CO2 concentration is 388 ppmv –

Business as usual: ΔT = 5.7 ln(408.0/388) = 0.29 C°

– Copenhagen Accord: ΔT = 5.7 ln(406.5/388) = 0.27 C°

= “Global warming” forestalled, 2010-2020: 0.02 C°

One-fiftieth of a Celsius degree of warming forestalled is all that complete, global compliance with the Copenhagen Accord for an entire decade would achieve. Yet the cost of achieving this result – an outcome so small that our instruments would not be able to measure it – would run into trillions of dollars. Do your Treasury models demonstrate that this calculation is in any way erroneous? If they do, junk them.

You say “formal global and national economic modelling” shows “that the costs of inaction are greater than the costs of acting”. You ask for my “equivalent evidence basis to Treasury modelling published by the Government of the industry and employment impacts of climate change”. I respond that the rigorous calculation that I have described, which your officials may verify for themselves, shows that whatever costs may be imagined to flow from anthropogenic “global warming” will scarcely be mitigated at all, even by trillions of dollars of expenditure over the coming decade.

Every economic analysis except that of the now-discredited Lord Stern, with its near-zero discount rate and its absurdly inflated warming rates, comes to the same ineluctable conclusion: adaptation to climate change, in whatever direction, as and if necessary, is orders of magnitude more cost-effective than attempts at mitigation. In a long career in policy analysis in and out of government, I have never seen so cost-ineffective a proposed waste of taxpayers’ money as the trillions which today’s scientifically-illiterate governments propose to spend on attempting – with all the plausibility of King Canute – to stop the tide from coming in.

Remember that I have done this calculation on the basis that everyone who should comply with the Copenhagen Accord actually does comply. Precedent does not look promising. The Kyoto Protocol, the Copenhagen Accord’s predecessor, has been in operation for more than a decade, and it was supposed to reduce global CO2 emissions by 2012. So far, after billions spent on global implementation of Kyoto, global CO2 emissions have risen compared with when Kyoto was first signed.

Remember too that we have assumed the maximum warming that the CO2 imagines might occur in response to a given proportionate increase in CO2 concentration. Yet even the IPCC’s central estimate of CO2’s warming effect, according to an increasing number of serious papers in the peer-reviewed literature, is a five-fold exaggeration. If those papers are right, after a further decade of incomplete compliance and billions squandered, warming forestalled may prove to be just a thousandth of a degree.

Now ask yourself this. Are you, personally, and your advisers, personally, and your administration’s officials, personally, willing to make the heroically pointless sacrifices that you so insouciantly demand of others in the name of Saving The Planet For Future Generations? I beg leave to think not. At Flag 1 I have attached what I have reason to believe is a generally accurate list of the names and titles of the delegation that you led to Copenhagen to bring back the non-result whose paltriness, pointlessness and futility we have now rigorously demonstrated. There are 114 names on the list. One hundred and fourteen. Enough to fill a mid-sized passenger jet. Half a dozen were all that was really necessary – and perhaps one from each State in Australia. If you and your officials are not willing to tighten your belts when a tempting foreign junket at taxpayers’ expense is in prospect, why, pray, should the taxpayers tighten theirs?

You say that climate-change “deniers” – nasty word, that, and you should really have known better than to use it – are “small in number but too dangerous to be ignored”, and “well resourced”. In fact, governments, taxpayer-funded organizations, taxpayer-funded teachers, and taxpayer-funded environmental groups have spent something like 50,000 times as much on “global warming” propaganda as their opponents have spent on debunking this new and cruel superstition. And that is before we take account of the relentless prejudice of the majority of the mainstream news media.

How, then, it is that we, the supposed minority who will not admit that the emperor of “global warming” is adequately clad, are somehow prevailing? How is it that we are convincing more and more of the population not to place any more trust in the “global warming” theory? The answer is that the “global warming” theory is not true, and no amount of bluster or braggadocio, ranting or rodomontade will make it true.

You say that our aim, in daring to oppose the transient fashion for apocalypticism, is “to erode just enough of the political will that action becomes impossible”. No. Our aim is simply to ensure that the truth is widely enough understood to prevent the squandering of precious resources on addressing the non-problem of anthropogenic “global warming”. The correct policy response to a non-problem is to have the courage to do nothing. No interventionist likes to do nothing. Nevertheless, the do-nothing option, scientifically and economically speaking, is the right option.

You say that I and others like me base our thinking on the notion that “the cost of not acting is nothing”. Well, after a decade and a half with no statistically-significant “global warming”, and after three decades in which the mean warming rate has been well below the ever-falling predictions of the UN’s climate panel, that notion has certainly not been disproven in reality.

However, the question I address is not that but this. Is the cost of taking action many times greater than the cost of not acting? The answer to this question is Yes.

Millions are already dying of starvation in the world’s poorest nations because world food prices have doubled in two years. That abrupt, vicious doubling was caused by a sharp drop in world food production, caused in turn by suddenly taking millions of acres of land out of growing food for people who need it, so as to grow biofuels for clunkers that don’t. The scientifically-illiterate, economically-innumerate policies that you advocate – however fashionable you may conceive them to be – are killing people by the million.

You say my logic “belongs in a casino, not a science lab”. Yet it is you who are gambling with poor people’s lives, and it is you – or, rather, they – who are losing: and losing not merely their substance but their very existence. The biofuel scam is born of the idiotic notion – a notion you uncritically espouse – that increasing by less than 1/2000 this century the proportion of the Earth’s atmosphere occupied by CO2 may prove catastrophic. At a time when so many of the world’s people are already short of food, the UN’s right-to-food rapporteur, Herr Ziegler, has roundly and rightly condemned the biofuel scam as nothing less than “a crime against humanity”.

The scale of the slaughter is monstrous, with food riots (largely unreported in the Western news media, and certainly not mentioned by you in your recent speech) in a dozen regions of the Third World over the past two years. Yet this cruel, unheeded slaughter is founded upon a lie: the claim by the IPCC that it is 90% certain that most of the “global warming” since 1950 is manmade. This claim – based not on science but on a show of hands among political representatives, with China wanting a lower figure and other nations wanting a higher figure – is demonstrably, self-servingly false. Peer-reviewed analyses of changes in cloud cover over recent decades – changes almost entirely unconnected with changes in CO2 concentration – show that it was this largely-natural reduction in cloud cover from 1983-2001 and a consequent increase in the amount of short-wave and UV solar radiation reaching the Earth that accounted for five times as much warming as CO2 could have caused.

Nor is the IPCC’s great lie the only lie. If you will allow me to brief you and your advisers, I will show you lie after lie after lie after lie in the official documents of the IPCC and in the speeches of its current chairman, who has made himself a multi-millionaire as a “global warming” profiteer.

However, if you will not make the time to hear me for half an hour before you commit your working people to the futile indignity of excessive taxation and pointless over-regulation without the slightest scientific or economic justification, and to outright confiscation of their farmland without compensation on the fatuous pretext that the land is a “carbon sink”, then I hope that you will at least nominate one of the scientists on your staff to address the two central issues that I have raised in this letter: namely, the egregious cost-ineffectiveness of attempting to mitigate “global warming” by emissions reduction, and the measured fact, well demonstrated in the scientific literature, that a largely-natural change in cloud cover in recent decades caused five times as much “global warming” as CO2. It is also a measured fact that, while those of the UN’s computer models that can be forced with an increase in sea-surface temperatures all predict a consequent fall in the flux of outgoing radiation at top of atmosphere, in observed reality there is an increase. In short, the radiation that is supposed to be trapped here in the troposphere to cause “global warming” is measured as escaping to space much as usual, so that it cannot be causing more than around one-fifth of the warming the IPCC predicts.

My list of the Copenhagen junketers from Australia’s governing class is attached. All those taxpayer dollars squandered, just to forestall 0.02 C° of “global warming” in ten years. Yet, in the past decade and a half, there has been no “global warming” at all. Can you not see that it would be kinder to your working people to wait another decade and see whether global temperatures even begin to respond as the IPCC has predicted? What is the worst that can happen if you wait? Just 0.02 C° of global warming that would not otherwise have occurred. It’s a no-brainer.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AUSTRALIA

Well! The year is over and we can all sit back and reflect for moment on 2009. Sorry if the cartoon is a little dark and cynical but that's the way I see it all and I guess the truth hurts some folk.

Sure, there were good things that happened in 2009, I mean we managed to be one of the only first world economies to remain away from recession and I guess you have worked out that it wasn't all due to Rudd's vote buying, I mean, stimulus payments. Of course not!.... it was the very driven and thoughtful efforts of the Costello treasury and the restraint of the conservative Howard government that was the true reason behind our fiscal salvation.

I guess there were one or two success stories in the world of politics and certainly one of my top ten events was the overthrowing of the soft left, small L Liberal Party leadership of Malcolm Turnbull and Joe Hockey. Certainly a real coup for true conservative voters in this country, because now we have a team that will fight hard in opposition.

Ever been to a footy game and both sides as so evenly matched that no one scores or really tries to beat the other side? Pretty boring and senseless really, but now we have a game, a real game of opposing teams and this year is the GRAND FINAL because this year we have a Federal Election and that is why I say "Bring it on" because I have a great feeling about 2010.

I think a lot of that feeling is based on a belief that Rudd reign of spin, waste, big government and spending will be ended by the voice of conservative Australia, Tony Abbott.

Have a happy and safe celebration and I wish all of us, a safe, successful and prosperous 2010, no matter what on side of the political or ideological fence you sit..... except for Communists, you have a bad year, OK!

We Are ONE!?!

32 days ago a frustrated and desperate New South Wales Monaro district grazier, Peter Spencer, took the most drastic of all steps and threatened to end his life, as protest, in a slow and painful way by starving to death. He obviously took this path as all other avenues for his plea and that of his fellow farmers, had fallen on deaf ears in the offices of the bureaucrats who created a law, THE NATIVE VEGETATION ACT, that single handedly steals land from a land owner so that some wild native growth can flourish and reclaim the hard worked, productive land of the farmer , regardless of ownership or right.

The same bureaucrats that will not listen to common sense or logical reason and still listening too and pandering too the crazies in the Socialist/Leftist Green Party who are determined also top prove that human beings are a subordinate species on this planet and that animals and vegetables are equally at the top of the evolutionary ladder.

The last time I checked, this free and democratic country was is need of the labours of our rural community. I am sure that food is not manufactured in a lab in a suburb in a local city, thus bringing me to the logical conclusion that farmers and the rural communities of Australia are now considered as no longer needed because the return to the dark ages has started and it will only finish in us all eating selected food from other countries, or what we are permitted to grow in our backyards and taking cold showers as we walk another 30 kilometres to work in the candle factory.

That sound a little far fetched? well if you had told me 10 years ago, that any farmer, the backbone of the nation, was to be ever treated like this because the Government believes that vegetation is now more important than his livelihood or the nation's food source, then I might have agreed with you that it is all a mad conspiracy theory.... but what a difference a socialist movement makes in such a short time!

Is NSW ALP Premier number four, Kristina Keneally, doing anything about this? NO, instead she is playing Santa Claus and PR games as a co-host radio announcer on the Sydney airwaves, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

If this brave man is forced to die for this worthy of all causes then it will be the Rudd and state Labor Governments that will have the blood of Peter Spencer on their hands and no matter of spin will wash it off, EVER!

I would suggest that you put down your beer and pick a pen or log onto the net and write a letter to your local member of parliament to advise them that you too will not stand by and watch an Australian farmer die because he didn't believe that any Government had the right to steal his land. That you demand that your voice is heard via the member's representations and that if it is not done today, then that member will never expect your vote again.

Australians, we are one....well let's prove it again shall we!

Who's been Naughty or Nice?

I thought I'd better get a Christmas toon done before old Saint Nick comes a knockin.

Speaking of fiction and fictional characters, the man posing as our Prime Minister, has snuck back into the country, avoiding all the obvious questions about the failure of his junket in Copenhagen and just why a bowl of soup cost the Australian tax payers $50.00 a bowl.

Apart from the obvious fraud and political grandstanding that the entire event was based on and is, the so called "GLOBAL COMMUNITY" found no agreement and the only winners economically speaking, were the hospitality and service industries of Copenhagen.

Ofcourse " Heretics" and "Flat Earthers" like me will agree that there was no point to the entire conference because the entire premise that the agreement that they wanted, is based on entirely unscientific fiction but even the "Zealots" of the Anthropological Climate Change Religion, were also ripped off, as clearly their voices were not obeyed either.

In the final extended hours of this fraud, the so called leaders of the first world "THE GUILTY ONES" pushed through a Cap and Trade agreement that is supposed to reduce global temperature by 2 degrees in a few years. I'll believe that plan when my stools turn a rainbow colour and smell like peppermint sherbet.

Really, these fools couldn't even organise a decent cheap meal for the thousands that attended the gabfest, so just how are the "LORDS OF THE CLIMATE" the "CIRCLE OF COMMITMENT" going to effect the world's temperature? What a bl**dy insult to every ones intelligence and again another waste of our money!!!

As long as they get their little plan of a global tax started, as small as it is now, then the Spivs, the politicians on the UN payroll and the Bankers will see 2010 in with a grin rather than the massive groan that the rest of us will be sharing.

This is just the tip of the melting iceberg folks and guess what? so many of you wanted this and now you have it.

With all my cynical breath and ink stained fingers aside, I wish you and your family a Safe, Merry and Holy Christmas and a hope of a prosperous New Year. I wish to thank John Ray for his brilliant administration of my web blog and his constant support, I just wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for him.

What I am bringing to your attention now would have absolutely no precedent in the history of modern media. Sure, when John Lennon was murdered on this day in 1980, most Western newspapers ran the story as a lead issue and the editorials were of course independent of that paper's particular staff. The same when Kennedy was assassinated, Iraq invaded, Princess Diana dies, the end of the Second World War etc, etc. All major events and all just as important to a wider audience.

My point is that they all had their own independent comment. So how is it that this global scam and massive move to socially engineer the world according to the chosen few who have held close to the Marxist doctrine, are now not only getting front page promotion of their great gab fest in Copenhagen but are also given the identical editorial content from one source? Where is the independent reporting?

This is not reporting the news, it is pure propaganda, and all a part of the Global Governance policy launch. The original author from that notoriously leftist rag, The Guardian, is being repeated, word for word in about 57 Western Newspapers

Now do you believe me when I say that there is a conspiracy and that the so-called “free press” has no real connection to freedom, rather to a master that plays the tune that they must now dance to? Like I said, unprecedented INDENTICAL coverage is a glaring admission of the solidarity of the Socialist left who have removed objectivity from the media and replaced it with a form of censorship and masked control. Yes, that is why they call it the “Power of the Media” and why Karl Marx called them “USEFUL IDIOTS”

The true shame of it for the Australian people is that it is their elected Prime Minister who is charging ahead with the plan and spruiking the E.T.S and the lie that the Western industrial world is responsible for naturally-occurring climate change. DOPENHAGEN or BUST or BOTH!‏

New conservative leader starts out well; will give Rudd a run for his money; opposes Rudd's Warmist laws

As our very own “little corporal” wings his way to the Copenhagen junket, we are reminded of his latest poll result, as the preferred PM. Following the defeat of his Emissions Trading Scheme (TAX) and the overthrow of his “MAN BEHIND ENEMY LINES”, Malcolm Turnbull.

And no this is not a honeymoon period rating, as the ever-obedient Ruddites in the media would have you believe. This is a simply the response of Rudd’s working families who can now see the PM as a man of symbolism and rhetoric rather than a man of substance and national pride.

Mr. not-so-popular, Kevin Rudd, will now try his best -- and I’m sure in his best Mandarin Chinese -- to gain his seat on the United Nations Security Council by pandering to the likes of other populous panderers such as the UK PM Gordon Brown. Brown, just like his Australian counterpart, is suffering in the polls, and he too has a laundry list of domestic and economic troubles that he sees as taking second place to this great performance piece which the Useful Idiots” are now calling “HOPENHAGEN”. Well I call it “DOPENHAGEN”, because any world-leader that attends this farce and expects to come up with a global agreement on just how to stop natural climate change (anthropological climate change is a myth!) is as much a dope as he is powerful.

Imposing any sanctions or cap and trade schemes on the industries of first world economies, in the name of sharing the wealth and taking the blame for invention and initiative, will result in such outrage by the people of these nations, who will find that their hard earned way of life is now measured and equalised with the third world, that not one of them should expect to be in Government for very much longer.

I am convinced now that Rudd isn’t concerned with a second term in the Lodge, as his eye is clearly on a prominent seat in the UN -- which has evolved from a paper tiger into the headquarters of the socialist worldwide new world order. I still can’t find anyone who admits that voting for Kevin O7 was a great move for Australia. Thank God for Tony Abbott, so much depends on his bravery in opposition.

“Enjoy the Global Warming in Denmark Kevin and Penny, it’s bloody cold up there at this time of the year!” ……just as it has been every year previously and will be into the far future.

With the factional left's "RED HOT GO MAN" -- former Premier Nathan Rees -- feeling the knives of the always dominant right faction of this state's ALP, talk about "ET TU BRUTE"! We are now blessed with the extremely articulate, and extremely well-educated and former American citizen, PREMIER KRISTINA KENEALLY.

The "I'm nobodies puppet" and certainly "Nobody's girl" is in fact not only the fourth Premier in as many years (are we in Italy?) but is our first female Premier here in New South Wales. See here

Well, I wish her luck and hope that she can return some reminiscence of governance to this state, although it is a shame that this beautiful and ambitious woman has been given her shot at the top job after such a long and disastrous trail of failure by her male predecessors -- and also a shame that she choose the Labour Party to launch her political career.

I will not write her off as just a stooge for the ALP power-brokers of the right faction; I just don't know that to be true and she may just be able to get this state back in order. This of course will not happen overnight nor will it be done by the time of the March 2011 election, but just maybe she can return a sense of accomplishment to the Labour Party as well as the State and make opposition leader, Barry O'Farrell's job that much easier, when he does win that next election. This I am sure of!

MAY THE FARCE NOT BE WITH YOU‏

Thus the reason why Malcolm Turnbull and Mr. "I'll please everyone" (Joe Hockey) lost the battle for control of the Liberal party and the chance to give Chairman Rudd his big bragging rights at Copenhagen.

The man who didn't forget the lessons of the past, Tony Abbott, was a man who remembered just what happened to one of his previous bosses, former Liberal Party leader, Dr. John Hewson, when he tried to introduce an unexplained tax on the people and as a result the country got P.J.Keating as the PM.

I do really get the feeling that the common man and woman is starting to not only see through the ALP spin and rhetoric in general but that they are waking up to the fact that Anthropogenic Global Warming is just as fantastic a fraud as any other global con pushed on mankind in recent times. From the great and dangerous hole in the Earth's ozone layer to the Zionist conspiracy to take over the world and who could forget when the world that was going to end at the stroke of midnight, December 31 1999 due to the Millennium Bug!

What Tony Abbott, and Senator Nick Minchin have done, guided by the lead of Senator Barnaby Joyce of the Nationals and Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi, ranks as one of the bravest moments in Australian political history, and really, when was the last time you heard of an Australian politician actually thinking of the welfare of the nation before their own political careers?

The growing rise of the Conservative movement will mark the beginning of the end for the Socialists and the fight has just began. Abbott has promised that -- so sit back folks and witness democracy in action.

The Mad Monk is now our Saviour!‏

To say that the Australian political scene has been one of great interest within the last 72 hours would be as much an understatement as saying that the Emissions Trading Scheme will do nothing less than destroy our nation and the Australian way of life.

I must admit that I was quite down on Liberal "REBEL WITH A CAUSE" Tony Abbot, aka "THE MAD MONK", a very unfair label, I have always thought, following his earlier claim that although he thought that the ETS was bad for the country that he would still toe the party line. I would imagine that following his appearance, with that statement, on Jason Morrison's afternoon show on Sydney's number one talk radio station, 2GB, that he would have been bombarded with emails and calls from the conservative side of the party and its core base voters to tell him that he had just sold the country out for his own political gain.

Whatever it was that motivated Tony Abbott to stand up to his leftist leader, Malcolm Turnbull, he has certainly risen in the ranks of this writer's opinion and along with the other four MPs who resigned their positions in solidarity with Tony and his stance and to save the country and rescue the Liberal party from the evil left. Finally it can be said that people power has risen from its sleep and that this will be remembered as the greatest attempt by so few, urged by so many to save this country from a fate worse than death.

The day of the LONG KNIVES‏

If you are a red card carrying ALP voter then you DO NOT have my sympathy, you called down the thunder and now you will reap the whirlwind.

If, and it's now likely, this E.T.S actually becomes a reality in Australia, then it will probably be the unionists who will be the first to call for a revolution of a different type, not before seen in this country. No work, no members, NO UNION! What part of that maths do they not get!?!

Seems that the Socialist apologists amongst us just enjoying having their heads kicked in by their elected leaders BUT how about the rest of you? The Conservative voters of Australia. For you I have nothing but sympathy, empathy and I share your rage and shock at the TREACHERY performed by your political party as the resulting damage that will occur to your nation and your children's nation for generations to come.

This Liberal Party's support of Rudd's E.T.S legislation and the failed and weak attempt by those in the party who realised all too late that they will lose their seats because of this, will be marked in our political and social history as the darkest day of betrayal in our countries short free and democratic life.

This Rudd/Turnbull ego driven TAX will result in massive unemployment and hardship for all of us and the resulting social unrest and lawlessness will be used as an excuse to introduce a Police State. Throughout modern times, every National Socialist Party in has initially engineered and promoted a sense of anarchy and destabilisation of a society's working structure so that it can become the only options to restore law and order. Yes. the ONE WORLD ORDER, in this case. "The price of liberty is constant vigilance"and if this E.T.S is eventually passed then all those that have died to secure our democracy, freedom and way of life will have be in vain and the Communists will have won the war.

I do not make that point lightly and I will say it loud and clear now because I can see in the near future a time when I would be arrested for saying anything like that... in fact most of us independent voices are probably already on a clean up list now. That all sounds like a bit of a movie fantasy, another "CONSPIRACY"? sure.... then tell that to the people who survived Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao Tse-tung, Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong (mentally) Il !!! and please remember that isn't all of them and that they all existed within living memory.

If this was not the time for the National Party of Australia to break away from the sellout Liberals, re name themselves and start putting up candidates all over the country, with immediate removal of the E.T.S as their main policy platform, then there never will be. That third Party option, is in my opinion, the only way that Australia will be saved.

LIES, SPIVS AND SPIN‏

Andrew Bolt said last week: "How bizarre to see so many experienced journalists confront Kevin Rudd’s lies - and yet fail to call them by their name. From yesterday’s Insiders, here’s the panel agreeing that Kevin Rudd is, um, well, just wrong to claim he did not offer a special deal to the Tamils on the Oceanic Viking."

And of course Andrew's point is accurate as usual. Clearly the words LIE and SPIN are now defined as having the EXACT same meaning, thanks to this recent exposure of the Rudd government and in particular the PM's complete lack of diplomacy in the face of adversity. Yes Kevin 07, the Oceanic Viking Disaster is your Tampa! The difference is, that the ALP lapdogs in the mainstream media did not salivate for months over this debacle nor did they point out that although no children were thrown over board, they didn't bother to mention just how Rudd lied to the country by claiming that a deal had been done with the Indonesian government, which they of course denied!

How did he ever hold a job as a diplomat in the first place is beyond me but then again he became Prime Minister of this country so I guess anything really is possible in this great land of opportunity. Now of course a land marked as just that by every people smuggler on the planet.

To say that we have a credible "opposition" party is also a load of spin. Considering Malcolm Turnbull's close alliance with the Rudd government on the Cap and Trade scheme that they both so want Australia to sign up for in Copenhagen, is it any wonder that we could very well be living in a third world country with such standards of living that anywhere in the third world will closely resemble life in Australia, along with levels of foreign debt that would take more than several generations to pay off.

Our very way of living is in its greatest peril and yet the one bastion of balance in our Westminster system of government, is the fact that there is an alternative government to keep in check the despot wannabes, and the one worlders/communists, in order. Well, there was until Malcolm Turnbull came along. Our only hope is that men such as Liberal leader of the Senator, Nick Minchin, and Cory Bernardi along with Liberal Minister Tony Abbot and National Senator Barnaby Joyce will be able to overturn the madness that is planned and this will take nothing less than a change of coalition leadership at the Federal level of the Australian Liberal Party.

Senator Cory Bernardi - A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!‏

Well, to say that South Australian Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi, is a diamond in the rough, would be as much an understatement as saying that Al Gore isn't evil, he's just wrong. Here we have a man who is going against a party-line, backed by his leader, that supports Rudd's push to join the socialist one worlders in Copenhagen in a few weeks. I would recommend, that any who hasn't had a listen to the brilliant speech given by England's Lord Monckton to do so now and also download a copy of the draft COP15 treaty that Rudd intends to sign thus giving away our sovereignty so that he can take his place at the UN table of power.

Senator Barnaby Joyce of the National Party has also been labelled as a heretic to the new Climate Change religion and now from within the ranks of Turnbull's complicit Liberal Party, comes a man, a man who is destined to lead us all out of this dark place that we are going to. It will be Corey Bernardi's name that Australians will remember when, they have to take another cold shower and walk another 5 kilometres to work, assuming they have a job, due to the third world that we have now inherited -- as our wealth is redistributed to the third world.

Better to have a global second world economy whilst the OVERLORDS in the United Nations, pat each other on the back whilst sipping champagne in their Lear Jets on their way to another execution of a journalist who dared to express his or her views under the now outlawed freedom of speech right.

The so called "Fairness Doctrine" was just the beginning in preparation for the world to come -- with thanks to the agenda of one Kevin Rudd and the support of one Malcolm Turnbull...both millionaires!

The Cap and Trade regime that will be so entrenched in our economy will be the madness to their method. ETS is a tax that we will all have to explain to the next generation as "it seemed like a good idea at the time, I mean he was so nice, he was even on Rove"......... Well, not this black duck folks! My kids will not be hearing that from me.

The Vandalism of our Intelligence‏

I nearly fell over laughing when I read this pile of crap the other day: "CHILDREN carrying spray-paint cans without a legitimate reason could face six months in jail under a revolutionary graffiti crackdown by the State Government."

Who does this bloke, Nathan Rees, think he is kidding. The last time a magistrate had the testicular fortitude to put a graffiti vandal away, the outrage from the bleeding heart liberals, who incidentally ARE responsible for this disgusting social phenomenon, was deafening and the Rees government supported the back-down of the sentence to little more than a smack on the hand. Whilst Rees is basking in the light of his new best friend, Kevin Rudd, who on Saturday gave the Premier the greatest stamp of approval and endorsed him as a man doing a good job, Rees has taken this line from the Federal leader and has gotten all hairy chested by announcing this new policy in law, in an attempt to impress and appear tough on crime.

I for one would love to see these scum bags, who contribute to the many forms of vandalism by our misspent youth, in Long Bay Gaol and doing it tough. I am sure that, after a few very public convictions, most of these stupid kids and adults would really think twice before attempting to express themselves at the taxpayer's expense. Personally, I have had to remove "TAGS" from the front of my property more than once and that has only hardened my wish to see an end to this rubbish that some academic fools and social workers actually call art.

I wonder if the knife and the drugs that the kid is also carrying will add anything to the sentence?....Watch this space folks but I wouldn't hold your breath! When we can't lock the little dears up for stealing cars and running from police, then how will this be any different?

"PRIDE COMES BEFORE A FALL".... Has Prime Minister Rudd never heard this old and wise quote? Clearly not, because I am sure that all that's holding him back from regaining more voter support (which is currently at an all time low for him) is his pride, The same stubborn pride that is preventing him from admitting, that his policy to remove the successful " Pacific Solution" policy, introduced by the previous Liberal Government, has sent out a strong signal to the people smugglers, that Australia is now a safe and soft target for this illegal trade.

Lives have already been lost.... the latest report is six men and two children, TRAGEDY! And no, I am not saying that Rudd caused the ship to sink or the people to drown or even that he wanted anything like this to occur, he is a decent man after all, but what I am saying is that if the border security had not been lowered by Kevin Rudd, then it is most likely that these people wouldn't have bothered to take such a risk.

The real issue here is that Rudd is now trying to appear "HARD LINE" on illegal immigrants and, is at the same time, trying to satisfy the soft-headed do-gooders, the same people who voted for him because he stood on the platform of introducing a more humane way to deal with alleged alien arrivals.

This is what we have now, a PM that thinks that he can please everyone, all the time! Anyone with any common sense knows that this is a recipe for failure and speaks volumes of the man's weak character. There are no "PUSH" factors that Rudd keeps quoting are the cause of the current influx. The fact is that any person in a second or third world country, would gladly spend their last penny to get to Australia, which now has the reputation, and truthfully so, as being a huge welfare society. These folk are simple economic refugees, looking for a better deal. You can't blame them for that, but there are correct ways to do it and what they are doing is illegal under Australian law.

This policy failure and the current international embarrassment that it is causing Kevin Rudd, will no doubt have to end somehow soon because as we all know , Kevin 07 wants to perform on the international stage and is heading to Copenhagen in a few weeks to audition for the role. How it ends is yet to be seen but I am sure it will not be in the interests of Australian taxpayers and our border security.

THE AWAKENING‏

if you are a media junkie, like me, and in particular spend hours a day listening to talk radio and the everyday Australians expressing their views on life, politics and the world in general, then you have no doubt notice a definite swing in the thinking of people with regards to the great global warming scam and one of it's greatest proponents, our Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd.

I believe that the cause of this shift in perceptions is quite simple. People are starting to look into the pseudo science of it all, with the help of a few rebel mainstream-media commentators and can see that there is something logically missing, thus coming to a sensible conclusion, that this is a socialist engineered attempt to make us all financial and emotionally dependent on the one government that has imposed the EMISSIONS TRADING TAX.

ONE GOVERNMENT? .....indeed, this phrase is being repeated all over the world and so often now, that it has become standard fill for the political/party speech writers. It is also the tune that non conservative governments are singing the loudest. As U.S. President Obama, P.M. Rudd and a hand full of socialist leaders rush to home of fairy tales, Copenhagen, we are all sitting back, scratching our heads and thinking things like, "did we vote for this?", "do we want to lose our national sovereignty?" and the ever increasing cry, "I wanted to save the planet, not pay a new tax to enlarge a centralised government and make a handful of investors wealthy!"

Yes, the gloves are now off and the the eleventh hour is upon us all. I can only hope that we as a proud individualist, secular, Western democracy will be able to stand up and say NO! and be able to stop this madness and destruction before it can get another foothold.

Say what you want about any previous ALP Prime Ministers but at least they had some substance, some backbone. This train-wreck of a leader that we have now has displayed once again just how distant he really is from the true Australian ethos.

Not only is he not demanding that the Indonesians should sign the UN Refugee Convention of 1951 -- thus actually dealing with these country shoppers before they sail (or fly) off to the great southern land of liberal softies and no border security -- but now he is doing a deal by asking the Indonesians to do the right thing in controlling the disgusting trade of people-smuggling before it becomes our issue. He is even asking if we catch them first, can we can send them back to Indonesia and the Australian taxpayer will foot the bill for the costs incurred by the Indonesian Government?!? How can this be true?

Assuming that the Indonesians keep end of the bargain and don't fall prey to the corruption that we know exists in Kalathumpia, then just how are we going to pay for it?

We are facing no less than 300 billion dollars of debt thanks to Rudd's allegedly "Fiscal Conservative" economics and with the great global warming swindle about to play out off in Copenhagen, that will ensure that we have a negative credit rating for a hundred years. Would it be stupid of me to hope that Rudd might take a leaf out of the book of his Indonesian counterpart and actually start looking after the people who pay his wages? ........ yeah, pretty stupid!

Vale Don Lane (1993-2009)‏

Well it's not such a good day is it really, but at least this great man of entertainment is finally at rest. A very unfitting demise for a man who came to this country and became an Australian in more ways than most and certainly has left us with a legacy of laughs and memories of great entertainment. I believe that the appeal that Don Lane had with his audience went beyond that of an entertainer. Yes, he was known affectionately as the "Lanky Yank" but it was his genuine love for the Australian public and its unique culture that made him as Aussie as you and I.

I am not a name-dropper but I am proud to tell you that I had the pleasure and the honour of meeting this man three times in my life. As a young student in the early 80's studying Television and Film production, Don lane would come to one of my classes and VOLUNTEERED his time to assist the class in studio work by allowing us to interview him.

In 1986 I was the concierge at the TV Logie Awards held at the State Theatre in Sydney. I managed to have another chat with Don there and he actually remembered me from the TV school.

In 2005, when Grahame Kennedy left us, I was so moved by Don's public eulogy, that it inspired a caricature which I did of him and sent to him. Not only did he reply but he personally phoned me and thanked me. He again remembered me and said that it was a good job that I didn't get into TV production as it would have been a waste of my talent. He told me that the caricature had pride of place in his home. I only wish that I had a copy of it.

As a kid in the 70's I was very unlike many of my peers because I would never miss the Don Lane Show. I enjoyed the variety and comedy as much as my grandparents, who would also have enjoyed the great talent of this man with me. Great memories indeed.

God bless Don lane, Rest in Peace and thank you so very much. I am sure there will be one hell of a show to see in heaven tonight.

If you think that just maybe you have woken up in some alternative universe and that all those episodes of the Twilight Zone were actually based on fact!, then I wouldn't blame you.

We are witnessing the beginning of the end of our way of life in the Western democratic world, with this madness that is the Emissions Trading Scheme (Really a TAX scheme). It is being used as the earthmoving shovel that will distribute wealth from the successful countries of the world to those that do not deserve it -- and the social changes will be heavily regulated under one world governance (oh, if you think I am raving, and going off on a conspiracy theory again, all I can say is, I hope I am truly wrong, otherwise, you ain't seen nothing yet). So try to comprehend just why an opposition party, that really does little opposing, is currently under scrutiny by the mainstream media and by the incumbent government as if they were actually implementing policy? Policy that will be the greatest change to the economic landscape since the introduction of the G.S.T. and the free trade market.

Unlike the G.S.T, which has gone a long way to keeping this country out of the red, this E.T.S will do the exact opposite. Get ready for the cold showers, endless blackouts, unaffordable living expenses etc etc and a return to the horse and buggy under a the new Communist style regime. As angry as I am towards the lack of conservative opposition being displayed by Malcolm Turnbull, that is nothing compared to the rage that I have towards the mainstream media -- which is doing its usual best to subjectively interrogate the right-wing establishment, even though they are not going to be the ones that will be signing the death warrant for Australia. Rudd and Wong's hand will be used for that purpose at the Climate Crap talks in Copenhagen in just a few weeks time.

The Rudd Train of Hubris and Hypocrisy just seems to be able to go anywhere, regardless of tracks being laid or not. How can a man who once used opposition to the successful anti-people smuggling policies of the Howard government, as a way of siding with the soft headed lefties who were calling John Howard and the policies "inhumane" and "barbaric", to mention a just a few ridiculous claims, as well using the uproar of the "children overboard" crap and the Pacific Solution "outrage", have the grapes to stand before the world and proclaim from his high horse, that as PM he must now take a hardline against illegal immigrants (Oh and now it's fine to call them just what we weren't allowed to call them before).

These economically-driven country shoppers, and that's all they are! are using every page in the book to play a game that was not even possible to play during the last administration. Rudd's abolition of Howard's Pacific Solution and obvious softening of the laws, that were sending a loud and clear message to these pirates trading in human flesh, may have seemed like the perfect pay off to the sick liberals who voted for it but obviously it has backfired in his face now.

Now he calls his policy the "Indonesian Solution" and in a way that is all he is doing. Rudd is dropping the hot potato, that he has cooked, into the lap of our nearest neighbour....WOW, WHAT A DIPLOMAT! No points for seeing how that will play out in the near future as far as our already tenuous relations are with that country.

I do wish that the left wing mafia of the Australian media would relax a little from the constant bashing the ashamedly disjointed Liberal Coalition and start to focus a little more on the BIGGER and more IMPORTANT issues/disasters that this current Labor Government are creating and or, are not dealing with. What is happening now was clearly predicted, when Rudd started changing policy, by the few level headed commentators about the press and the air waves but were only again shouted down as right wing sour grapes......Hmmmmmm!!!
